False Chat Ban

So I got a chat ban because my toxic support convinced the other team to report me. Here is word for word what I said. Keep in mind that he was flaming me all game so I started to respond later in the game after telling him to stop multiple times.

You where harassing your team. Since this is only a chat restriction take it as a moment to reflect on what you did and how to improve your in game chat.

No he was harassing me and i responded to him. Then Yi started doing it too. I shouldve muted but nautilus was more toxic and probably didnt get a chat ban

You should have responded by muting them. That instantly stops you from seeing their chat. Then at the end game lobby report that player, don't say that you will, just do it without saying a word.

Instead you retaliated by harassing them back, which is much like putting gasoline on a fire, making the situation even worse.

Not a great way to stand up for yourself because you end up just as bad as them.

Mute, report, move on. It's a great set of words to remember.

It's his right to defend himself God help us if we ever applied this standard in real life. Furthermore as you say there is the mute button anyone too sensitive to hear people respond to their toxicity is free to use it, this is much better than censoring free speech.

Actually by banning a person or restricting them you are infringing on rights try to censor a football player talking smack see what happens. Since you are clearly bias whether riot is right or wrong there is no point to continue this conversation good day and good bye I shan't return

Umm no as the comic says free speech has nothing to do with it. The laws for it say what the government can and can't do about people's speech, last I checked riot doesn't run the country.

I'll tell you what "real life" is. In real life there are Terms of Service that form a legal agreement. If you violate an agreement, the agreement is void.

Instead of following through on his violation of the contract and terminating it, Riot is instead treating him with kiddie gloves and giving him a chat restriction instead of banning the account as per the contract.

This is a video game. There is no self-defense. He's picking arguments with people because of his ego.

They never look at the entire chat. Only what you say is counted. I agree 100% that its broken, but that isn't the popular opinion here.

Instead of removing posts and altering them because they're on the wrong board... they should correct this to "Correctly Chat Banned" or remove it.
