Riot corruption

Hey everyone, I'm here today to talk about how I feel Riot is so unfair in their banning system. I was banned for toxicity and yes, I was being toxic, but in the middle of the ban, they banned me for apparently Cheating with 3rd party programs. A) How could I cheat if I was banned and couldn't play? B) Before I got banned for being toxic, I didn't get a single warning for being toxic. And when I try to tell them that, they give me the same automated response every time. In the response it says they can't do a thing even thought they probably can. I also spent a fair amount of money on my account. In my opinion it seems as if riot only care about money and not for the players themselves.

To my knowledge, 3rd party program bans are sent out in waves, rather than immediately upon confirmation. It's entirely possible that something was detected as being amiss with your account several weeks ago, and the wave only recently happened during the time you were serving a behavioral ban.

Additionally, certain behaviors (specifically hate speech, intentional feeding, and encouragements to self-harm, but there are others) can earn an escalated punishment to an immediate 14-day ban even on an otherwise clean account. I'd imagine that, if you shared your logs, we would find a behavior that they have a zero-tolerance policy toward.

As for Riot's response, two things are at play here -- firstly, money spent doesn't have any bearing on punishments earned, as otherwise you have a pay-to-be-abusive system where players who spend more have more leniency on their behavioral punishments. That's not a good thing. Secondly, yes -- technically Riot can unban anyone, or change their policies at any time. They don't, because having and following a consistent set of rules without making exceptions is a good way to run a business -- it creates an expectation that the rules are the rules, rather than a set of guidelines to be argued back and forth.

A) How could I cheat if I was banned and couldn't play?

Toxicity is banned automatically through the reports and an automated recognition tool. 3rd-party is detected by other means.

B) Before I got banned for being toxic, I didn't get a single warning for being toxic.

Depending on the severity of toxicity from your report. it can skip tiers. and thus land the 14/perma ban right away.

In the response it says they can't do a thing even thought they probably can.

they have a zero tolerance on most things. and perma banned accounts will not be opened again unless it's a false positive.

I also spent a fair amount of money on my account. In my opinion it seems as if riot only care about money and not for the players themselves.

I have paid a fair amount too. never received a warning. never received a ban. spending cash doesn't make one immune to the rules.

Why do you think they do it to you/players?

What do you mean about never faced a warning or penalty?

They do care about the money, which is why they'll permaban the ones that are ruining the games for other people.

Your actions causes fustration for the other players that aren't toxic and also spend money. Those nice people end up leaving the game if they Riot didn't deal with people whom spoil the game. Getting rid of you guys (toxics and cheaters) means that Riot will get more money in the long run.

Your petty little amount of money is of no interest to Riot.

Because they care about the players, they don't want them to have bad experiences or ruined games with toxic people. Corruption would be more like the opposite, if they didn't ban players because they spent a lot on their accounts.
