Reasons to troll
There are two primary reasons to troll, to have fun! Though for a troll their fun is at your expense lol I know because I do it 😊.
The second reason is because I usually feel the team mate is deserving of it😊.
If your champ pick is stupid-->troll time
If you flame in pregame chat --->troll time
If you feed in the first 15 min--> troll time
If you threaten to afk--> troll time
If you utter any of the phrases:"my dad works for riot games", I'm plat/diamond/challenger smurf","I was plat last season," "I saw Dyrus/boxbox/shaclone (or any of the challenger) players do it--> troll time
If you try to tell me how to play when you are 0/6/1 or some other terrible score--> troll time
As the game progresses many people including myself have adopted the Tyler1 strategy and will troll the moment u give us any kind of reason to.
Some Characteristics of a good troll:
Trolling mechanics
purposefully miss ur abilities when helping a teammate
If ur support use your abilities to do light damage to enemy while hitting all minions--> then push to tower, back up and let adc get ganked
Do NOT ping mia
No sight stone!
Leave team fights to farm
Leave team mates to die and take their kills - this is best when you have a champion with lots of last hit tools like ezreal/cait/varus q, veigar q/ult, gp q, and many more - the best last hit tools for taking someone's kill are abilities that are typically moderate to high damage, long range, dont have channeling and rapid activation time.
Never surrender! Riot designed the game so that 2 people can hold the rest of the team in a no surrender game- take advantage of this!
Best advice if your trolling this way - ask yourself what would a bronzie do? U cannot be banned for being unskilled (u just have to make it seem like your not trolling)
Psychological trolling tactics
Flaming! Flame a person after a single mistake and point out mistakes remember "players perform worse after flaming them" - use this to ur advantage.
Embrace the one person rule- Riot designed the game so that a single person's mistakes/noncooperation can confer a loss. Wat most trolls do not understand is that the noncooperation does not have to be on your end. If you can tilt just one teammate then you have succeeded.
Another note if ur gonna troll make sure the person you are trying to tilt has a worse score than you( I especially love troll supporting and having my adc get reported because I tilted him and he's like 1/9/0.)
Another thing many people in general do not realize is that this game is as much psychological as it is tactical/mechanical skill. Psychological degradation is an amazing tool to a troll. 1 thing I like to do is make a self fulfilling prophecy- tell top he's going to push lane get ganked and then continue to feed. (Make a prophecy that tends to come true for instance mid will do no damage and feed) demoralize ur team mates this can be done in less than 5 messages a game! Another thing u can do especially against jungle is that after a failed gank either on ur team or the enemies "lee sin/ nautilus/ etc let u die!"
If your mid roam but 'bait' your team pinging to go in then either run away or purposely miss all your abilities. Then if ur team gets mad say something provoking-i.e. " mad cuz bad"
Don't spam indiscriminately these provoking statements are best said shortly after a person makes a mistake and generally helps them play worse.
After game don't forget to talk shit either tell the person u tilted that they're bad or if u somehow win say it was 2ez or salt or some other salt in the wound kindof statement. U generally only have a 1 game with a person so how can u extend ur influence beyond that 1 game? U need to demoralize them make them feel like giving up. Remember what riot said 'flaming a person after making a mistake makes them play worse' use this to your advantage! Repeatedly criticizing can severely demoralize someone even into their next several games if u do it right!
How to avoid getting banned
So if getting a particular account banned is an issue an u don't have any alternates try to be succinct with your comments the less u say the harder it will be for riots algorithm program to view u as inflammatory, do not use racial/homophobic words riots program automatically screens for these and can easily flag u if u get reported. This game has millions of people and riot will invest more staff to game design than as opposed to moderating. Use this to ur advantage! The number of players to riot tribunal employee ratio is extremely high hence they use computer programs to track and flag " highly reported players" the trick with trolling is to be SUBTLE. If you type a lot this will make it far more likely to get u banned, if u run it down mid and int constantly without making it SEEM like u have a strategy u will increase ur chances of being banned. do NOT int/afk! Also ur score matters when a riot employee views a potential case, if you get 8-9 reports and ur score is 0/25/0 it will be very obvious to the tribunal what ur intentions were. There are far more efficient ways to demoralize and torture ur team😊. Also note if ur in plat or higher these strategies need to be applied more carefully- bottom line riot cares less about u silvers golds and bronzies- actually for the most part riot ignores a lot of what u do and has computer programs to track reporting trends, comments and issue bans. In higher Elo like plat and up riot will take notice much faster. If someone were to troll (in obvious ways) in challenger riot would respond much faster than if they trolled in silver- the game is tailored to those of high elo. Lol if u troll in bronze using the ways I mentioned here I highly doubt riot would ever notice or if they did it would probably only happen after hundreds of games, which is ironic being that~ 70% of the player base is silver/bronze. http://www.leagueofgraphs.com/rankings/rank-distribution .
