Hello, jerks of the community

If you are going to criticize what I spells I pick, heroes i select or what runes I use BEFORE THE MATCH EVEN BEGINS. AND THEN CONTINUE TO FLAME AND BERATE AND BE A JERK JUST FOR THE SAKE OF BEING A JERK AS WE BEGIN PLAYING. I'm done! I'm not playing with someone like you. Report me afk that's fine, but if some of you people weren't so ridiculously abrasive I might actually want to cooperate.

So next time you see someone take barrier instead of heal, or...ignite instead of..teleport? Like really who gives a crap?! Don't jump on them like it's the end of the damn world.

I agree and disagree.

I agree with your frustration and the general gist of it. But I don't think going afk is a good solution.

you have a 30% win rate, you might want to start listen to other ppl when they try to help you!

Depends on your role. Taking Ignite as a Top laner can be good or bad. If you lose lane you'll be less useful than if you had TP for ganks or to follow your enemy or whatever.

If you're the support and you take anything other than Ignite or Exhaust, yes you're trolling.

Perspective.

And instead of being a man and not caring about what idiots write and reporting them after the game which results in their ban, you instead leave like a spoiled kid, ruining the game for other players that might not be flaming and getting yourself banned. Genius sir!!!

they just tried to help you and you turned all SJW crazy on them

dont even try to blame them

You can report them for harassing you.

However, remember that if you go AFK, they can report you too.

Try to change your outlook on the game if they're bad teammates. Just focus on your own game and turn it into practice. Try to be more aware of map presence, try to practice ward placement, try to practice last hitting, etc...

Mute them.

???

You will get zero sympathy if your response is to go AFK and destroy the game for 9 other people. Grow up, mute them, and report them, don't throw the game and prove them right about you being a troll.

As for people being abrasive, yes they are, extremely so and it is definitely unnecessary, i'm sure if they spoke to you kindly and calmly you'd be more inclined to agree - However it's not their job to wrap you in cotton wool and protect you from people getting riled up in a competitive environment, it's on you to deal with that.

Well I've tried to reply to everyone! But I have a pretty good idea of what the community thinks now... aaaand I have to disagree for the most part. I'm open to -constructive- criticism, but if you're going to flame me i'm checking out. Gone! Done! See ya! If it's just one or two people, yes i'll mute them. But three plus..which has happened to me before. Not dealing with it

/mute all and play as best as i can is what i always do nowadays.

At the start of the game, mute the people who criticized your summoner spell, runes, and champion choice. Really, criticism isn't all bad, but if you've made an informed choice on purpose, you don't have to listen to other people every game.

When someone is flaming, berating, or being a jerk, you should mute them and remember to report after the game. There is no reason to listen to them, and once a person has started flaming, they're quite unlikely to say anything useful for the rest of the game.

Going AFK is a bad choice to make. The first punishment is a 14 day ban. Then, any punishment for anything else will be a permanent ban.

Aside from punishment from Riot, you're also hurting yourself by purposefully losing games that you could win instead. Or if you don't care about win/loss record, you're losing out on the opportunity to learn more about the game. Or if you don't care about that, you're no longer playing a game that you seem to have wanted to play, so you're missing out on potential fun. And, if you don't care about that, you're wasting 20 minutes of your life that you get only one of.

Dude, this is League of Legends, our community is notorious for being toxic and sadly there nothing we can do about it. There are going to be jerks out there and you got to live with it because they will NEVER change. I'm going to be blunt here, going on the boards to complain is really childish. How I deal with the jerks in the community is to just mute them and report them after the match (if they did something worth reporting) that way you don't have to see the unnecessary flame and they can end up getting punished (believe it or not, it happens). However, there will be people that give you constructive criticism and right now you're going ape on them. They want to give you information about the meta and what summoner spells to take for the highest chance to win in each role. No one is perfect, there is always something we can improve on.
