"Mid or afk", instalocking etc solutions!

Hi everyone,

Did you want to play League of Legends blind pick 5v5 and just have a relaxed nice game? you thought you were gonna go mid maybe, even called it first. But then it happens....

I understand that there are draft and ranked games for lane selection and blind pick is supposed to be easy going, but some of us don't play ranked and wanna just relax without having that competitive side.

Many players these days troll and either insta-lock a champion, or they steal a lane when someone else has called it already. There are currently NO penalties for this but there is a penalty for dodging the game (which makes sense usually but its like punishing the victim even more).

I think there should be a rule against instalocking where a person cannot lock in for at least 5 seconds.

Also more importantly, I hope that either 1 of 2 things is possible:

The system automatically detects who called what lane and therefore takes some sort of action if another player goes there in the first few minutes without permission or

A report button be added for not respecting the call. There are buttons for cheating, abusing etc but none for trolling and stealing lanes. This actually causes a lot of rage and in turn becomes an abusing report even though its not the other person's fault. I've contacted riot about this and they suggested I post it here and hopefully we can make enough noise here to get their attention, so please like, respond, (share?), or whatever is possible to do here because this is honestly one of the most frustrating things ever.

There is such a system. It's called Draft.

If you want structure, play draft pick. Blind pick is free for all.

I very rarely experience what you are describing in blind pick. There are times where people take roles by accident like my last game when I had called top and locked in Taric and someone was late to the party just seeing my Taric pick and thought I was support. This could just be an MMR thing though and low MMR players act the way you describe much more often.

Everyone saying that there is "draft" for that; I know that already but draft can be competitive and its not as chill or relaxing as normal pick.

I just don't see the point in being able to troll like that just because its blind pick. I'm sure no one would be happy if they called a lane first but someone just instalocks or trolls knowing there won't be any consequences.

I prefer, then, if u really force me to think about it, a button hovering each role. The first loading or fast mouse'd, click the relative role button and get the rrole. So u have not loading provlems, not double role problems.

I think it's funny how people assume that Riot somehow enforces the honor system of calling... If you want your lane play draft. Blind Pick is the wild west of game modes.
