Just throwing it out there

I had a game recently with a person named Killyourself(AndThenSomeNumbersHereBecauseRiotDoesntLikeCallOuts) He acted exactly as the name would suggest, repeatedly telling other players to off themselves, among other things. I'm just wondering, since telling other players to off themselves is supposed to be a big deal, why I haven't gotten a notification about it? I just want verification he's not ruining some poor souls game :/

If you reported him using the post-game lobby, the report flags the game for review by the IFS (Instant Feedback System). Players don't get punished based on one single game, unless it's a case of extreme hate-speech, or something equally extreme. The system takes into account how many games the player has played, and how often they are considered to be "toxic." If that player was having a bad game, and those things were not his usual behavior, then it may take a while for him to collect enough reports for the system to deem him worthy of punishment. Though his name would seem to suggest it's not a rare thing... He still may not have been at the punishment threshold, which means he may need another few games of reports before the system will issue a punishment for him. Or, it's also possible that he has actually been punished since you submitted your report, but that yours was not the last report which triggered the punishment. The only player who receives the pop-up notification that someone has been punished is the last player that files a report.
