Why does riot punish victims of trolling?
This has been happening more and more. Premades joining my ranked games playing champs specifically to grief their team mates (I'm sure some of you have seen the Tahm Kench who loves to spit his team mates out under turrets and enemies over and over and over and over again in a manner that could not possibly be described as anything but griefing by anybody with at least half a brain) and then getting the whole lobby to report the player. In my case, it was tahm kench and tristana. I read the rules about posting in game actions here, so I won't go into specifics. The jist of it is that this tahm used his teleport and his devour almost exclusively to torment me in bot lane for the better part of 45 minutes. He did literally nothing but spit me out under turret fire, or into entire enemy teams. His premade partner tristana would similarly leap behind full HP enemies and blast them into my retreating figure.
Despite this I was so terrified by Riot's stance on perma banning anybody who dares express their frustration, I said only 2 or 3 times to my mid and jungler, "I am not feeding, they are trolling me. Please look bot, they are trolling me." before I muted them and simply continued to play my best.
We've all been in games we want to get out of, but have you ever been stuck for 45 minutes on a team where despite your best efforts, 2 of the players on your team try constantly to get you killed while the other 2 do nothing but blame you? It was hell. And the only reason I continued to ward and hook and snare and shield and play my absolute best is because I truly am trying to avoid the perma ban Riot is no doubt going to give me for being the victim of these trolls.
I didn't flame these people in the lobby. I didn't flame them in the game. I didn't degrade myself to their level. I didn't curse or swear. At no point did I ever stop playing to win. I ended the game with a score of 0/12/8. The 8 assists was because I would use being thrown under the turret to bait a hook on an enemy champ and net the team a kill, EVEN THOUGH I WAS BEING TROLLED.
Riot will punish me, I'm sure. And they'll let these trolls continue their behavior, of that I am also sure. What I'm not sure of is how or why we let our game turn into this. Where trolls use the systems supposedly in place to protect us, in order to punish and ban us, on top of ruining our games.
This isn't a QQ thread, it's a serious question to the community. Are we going to keep letting trolls abuse the system to perma ban legitimate players who are just frustrated?
Want more proof this is a real thing? Players even post and brag about it in the forums, like this for instance

Its been 50+ games, and the account recived no punishments what so ever. But here is the hillarious part. OFc, while he does this, many people are upset about it and write at him. One game, he decided to just try how much does riot not care, so he reported one of his teamates for verbal abuse..... we couldnt stop rofling when 5 minutes later he recived a message saying due to his report a toxic player got punished and "thank you for keeping league community a sportsmanlike place".... with a history of 0/30 games....
This has been an on-going problem FOR YEARS. This guy really laid out his experiment nicely..
TL DR; keep punishing victims of trolls and you will create the hyper smart trolls we see today. Riot, your policy of banning people for words when there is a mute function has been absurd for years and continued to be absurd. What is even more absurd is how you allow trolls who simply do not use chat, to troll people into getting banned. Stop banning victims. Start stopping trolls. There's hundreds of forum subjects like this. I know I'm screaming in the wind here and nobody is listening. After all, why would you invest money fixing a problem that generates so much new income for you? All these banned players want their champs and skins back, after all. Trolls might as well be on Riot's payroll. Riot doesn't care what happens to us as long as we keep playing. And nobody reading this is going to care until it happens to them. All I can say to the people snubbing me behind their screens right now and spamming their downvotes... is I hope one day it happens to you. And on that day I hope you understand. Hell... if I get perma banned for playing my heart out for my team... I hope my next account is silently lurking in your game to see it.
