Do I need to repair my client pre-emptively before EVERY ranked match?

This is ridiculous. Two bug splats into installation repairs after ranked queue draft this month. Hello leaver buster punishment.

All of it completely out of my control.

Already had someone dance AFK in fountain for 3/4th of the game earlier today. Three failed surrenders.

I've been playing games online since the late 90s and now that I think about it, I don't think I've seen an online system that empowers a single troll to ruin a large group of people's experiences most successfully than this one. That is, if the client doesn't flip out and decide ruin your day itself with no warning or recourse.

If you think about it, this game is a troll's dream. Register a free account then jump into queue with your 9 victims and just troll til your heart's content. They're locked in there with you, queue the Rorschach meme from Watchmen. More often then not, they won't even be able to get off an early surrender. #neversurrendergang

Once the game is started If you're dealing with a troll, all you can do is toss out a report into the gaping, opaque, silent void that is Riot's player punishment system. If you end up getting actual confirmation that a player gets punished because of your report, it'd probably be a good idea to purchase a Powerball ticket.

What is even the point in queuing for ranked anymore? What is even the point of keeping this game installed on a harddrive when I could have a 5 times better gameplay and community experience in Fortnite?

Been playing off and on since 2009 beta. Moving on to better pastures.

You're acting like this is somehow Riot's fault which I find a little childish of you especially since you can't even take the hour to reinstall the client. I've been playing since 2009 and I don't have bugsplat issues except when Riot was actually at fault for those and excused the leaves/prevented the LP loss. The vast majority of the player base also does not have this issue.

The issue is on YOUR end so forgive my language but -- get yo shit together. And if you're truly not having fun playing then don't play! I've personally started playing a lot less because the same game 9 years later gets boring. I don't get why people waste the free time they have on something they don't enjoy. My free time is so limited as it is there's no way I would ever do that.

I'd look at your other afk games if you want something to blame.

Dude, I know your feels. After having this "error" for close to a year now, I can give you advice. It's not the best of solutions, but it works the vast majority of the time for me:

When I get these bug splats in the loading screen, I've tied the event to 2 particular things that cause it: 1.) Patching. Patching seems to fuck up my loading screen/causes bugsplat and full instillation repair. It usually happen in the first 1 to 3 games- after its repaired I have no issue playing again after that. 2.) CLOSING LEAGUE OF LEGENDS. Yup, better believe this one. If I close league, it seems there is always a bugsplat somewhere between 1 to 7 games after re-logging in. Having started left league open continuously, I have never seen the bug appear until AFTER I'm forced to patch OR I'm forced to close league (for whatever reason)

Despite about 1/20, maybe 1/25 of my ranked games ending in a REMAKE (some I was so close to rejoining in time too! Ugh hate joining in at 3:02 and the remake vote is already up ;n; although its "saved" me from a 0-4 game once), i've managed to get to play 5 this season so far, so just... Just focus on the ones you can play. I really feel compassion for you in the sense that very few people will believe you about this bug, and it truly is 99.9% out of your control. Riot support actually believed me because they could see my "history" of the games I left/bug splats probably, but they didn't really have a good solution... The ones that bugsplat? Completely out of your control, dont fucking worry about them ( I know thats hard ), focus on the ones you can control and try extra hard and you will be fine. I think I'd have 3~4 more wins if it wasn't for this BS

Have you considered resinstalling the client from the beginning? Somehow, your client has gotten corrupted - likely a conflict with your antivirus or another program on your computer.
