Inflicting harsher punishments

Hello everyone I didn't know where else to put this, but, here it goes. Today, I have to say, has been, by far, I had, one of the most annoying, most gross League game of my life. It all started, I picked twitch in the character select screen. I started my lane, and everything seems to be going fine, my support warned me and everything about the strength of the laners, to which I replied, no problem, I play passive anyways, and sure enough not more than 2 or 3 minutes later, there I was, being told, I was a p###y, I tried not to panic, and at first, if I recall correctly didn't respond back to any of the comments being thrown at me. First kill I get, I am being called a kser, and everything to which I wrote. Fine, ok, just leave me alone. I told them myself, I was anxious and almost in tears, but things continued, I continued to be called name after name, all while, keeping to the summoner requirements of not afk'ing at fountain and continue to play regardless of the fact. I felt honestly teamed up on, by two players that seemed to be playing together, but anyways.. I did everything I could from, telling them, they are getting reported, I don't want to talk, just play, I will ping if anything.. to asking the enemy team to report my teammates for the harassment, to which at first I got the reply of... Your probably the toxic player on the team.. but anyways I continue, btw, during all of this, I could not get kills, for fear of being flamed, I basically sat in my lane trying to push towers and nothing else, to not further the flames that I felt were ignited. Anyways.. the point of this post is to ask you Riot, to please expand and make harsher punishments for these type of players... I am sure 100 percent that I too have, most likely, although I consider myself a nice person, have had my bad days, but never to the point of actually making the player feel uncomfortable, and when being told to stop, I have done so. I know, its impossible to deal with trolls, abusers, all at once, but, I think things could be improved. I understand that not al games are like this, but it is quiet disappointing, having, League, as you well said, be the low point of my day. Honestly, I don't come home, to start up a game and get wrecked, I come to have fun but even that is becoming, ever sinced I started playing ranked.. harder and harder to come by.

My suggestion to you guys, Make harsher punishments, such as, not only getting a lengthy ban, but also losing your summoner level, your skins, your champion pool, these seem like fit punishments, yes, it is true.. people spend their money on the game, but, I have seen plenty of other games take away money purchased items and not give it back at any time, so it is most definitely possible to do, without risk. I undersatnd that maybe this is to harsh, and maybe the game having these type of players, doesnt really affect Riot, as its ecommnity, worlds being live these days, is still thriving, but it does, affect me, the player. I may not be a streamer, I may just, in fact, be a filthy casual who can never get better at the game, but I am concerned on how bad the commnity can be. As I said, I primarily noticed this in ranked play, and a little bit, prior, in draft and to me it's getting to the point where I get anxiety just by considering queing up for some matches, it's totally thrown a lot of the fun out of the game, and I would which to have that back in some way. I love the chat system,, and, in games, have always found it fun to be able to communicate with others, have a couple laughs and what not, and is the primary reason to why I do not /mute all, but it seems almost necessary at this point, and it sucks. I play an online game to enjoy with others, if that wasn't the purpose, I would just continue with a single player game.. Anyways I am sure this seems like ranting and what not, but I wanted to give voice to people who may be going throuhg the same issue, if you would like to discuss this further, let me know through here, and I can pm my email adress.I

Again, I do not know if Riot actually reads these forums and maybe it's hopeless to write my feelings on here, maybe I'll just get more flamed, but I figured I would give it a shot.. I have already reported the players, explain why I was reporting them, but it seems a little fallen on deaf ears, as the time I have reported others, I have never gotten a responce back. If anyone has any tips, other than, just muting the game, please let me know, and sorry If I have taken to much of other peoples time.

Just wondering because i dont think you state it in your post. Why didnt you use the mute button? Thats is what it is there for, and seeing how they did nothing but harass you with it, its pretty obvious to use it and just continue to play the game. It just seems weird that you technically wasnt playing the game because of the whole "fear" of being harassed for kill stealing (which makes no sense because the ADC usually is the one with most of the kills anyway, as well as Kill Stealing usually not being a thing because the main point is to defeat the enemy team which usually means killing them)

As for harsher punishment, while it does seems like a good thing. I just dont see Riot doing it. I agree we do need something harsher so people can understand not to break the rules. But to the point of taking away stuff just seems too harsh. Then of course how does this work for people who already been punished and usually dont own skins? They dont care because they have nothing to lose.

Sadly this is the state of the internet in 2017 say stupid shit behind a monitor. As the first response said just mute and report at the end saves you the anger and stress. Personally speaking I play norms and aram and with friends that's my recommendation to you. I stopped playing ranked this season don't see me climbing out of silver and really don't care to but if you need someone to play with I'm sure some people around here will give you a better environment or you can find me in game. Good luck relax it words on the internet just let it go

Edit; riot isn't gonna change their punishment I have always been in favor of the chat bans then 14-30-perma I think the 30 day ban would have better effects on a player behavior in my honest opinion

Thank you all for the positive feeback, I think it is true, my best shot is to just find people that are positive, to play with, and at the sign of the first agresssion, just mute all. I wouldn't like to do this, just because, I like to be able to communicate plays with players, but, technically, this is all possible with the ping system. I did not state in my post that I did not mute the team, it is true, this time around, I didn't mute all, like I would have usually done if I didn't get get so emotinally invested in the concept. Thank you again all for your tips, I will use them wisely the next time I play.
