THIS HAS GOT TO STOP

I was just in a game where a player was spamming, trolling and feeding AND being very toxic. My team reported him but he accused me and others of doing the same thing he was doing. In turn he told the other team during game that I was the one who was toxic and the other team all reported me. I DID NOTHING WORNG AND GOT A WARNING. THIS IS NUTTS. ITS RUINGING THIS GAME. Please stop giving the other team the right to vote on opposing team when they have no clue what is being said in chat. THIS HAS GOT TO STOP.

If you haven't done anything wrong, you can relax. Reports are always verified before a punishment is handed down. They are not verified for warnings--warnings are triggered purely by having a high number of reports in your recent matches (this takes more than one game, by the way). It's mostly a heads up that you're being reported more than usual; this is designed to give players who have been losing their cool a signal to take it easy for a while. False reports can trigger a warning but they won't trigger a punishment.

I played a game a day or two ago where I muted all as soon as the game started because of troll picks and raging in champ select. One of those situations I probably should have dodged regardless of the 30 minute timer but said screw it because I think it was the last game I was playing for the night. I literally never said a word in chat. Nothing. All I did was ping all game. The end of the game comes and I was support with a good score and everyone else had gotten stomped. Post game lobby all I see is "report nunu". Now of course normally this wouldn't mean shit. But a few seconds later I get a warning for verbal abuse. They can't make a system that can tell when you say nothing?

I report people for racist statements and wishing diseases and terrorism upon people all the time and never even get a message saying someone was punished. I play a game and say absolutely nothing and get warnings. IDk wtf to think about their system. Supposedly it's automated and understands words so when someone types n*gger in chat it should be a pretty open and shut case if I report them. Just like it should be a pretty open and shut case about false reports if I never say a word. Funny thing is I made a thread about this that day and got downvoted to shit.

They should make this clearer - These warnings are an automatic message given when you get reported by more than one person in game. They occur before the reports have been passed into the system.

Getting one of these messages is basically meaningless if you haven't behaved in a punishable way. You could probably have 4 of your friends report you after a game as a joke and you'd get one.

To be honest, we just need the tribunal back, because then if you got reported by them all, an actual person could look at the chat log and realize that you did nothing wrong. Then you would not get a warning or a ban.

Agreed its annoying when the enemy team can vote, the problem is others asking others to report a user, if a player doesn't type in /All Chat which I keep disabled all the time then the enemy team should not be able to report for offensive language or verbal abuse but rather only AFK, or Intentional Feeding which would sort out a lot of false reports easier as well.

Nonono it doesn't work like that.

First you gotta guilt trip everyone. Then you have to instigate a witch hunt. To do that you could always victimize yourself by highlighting a condition of yours into getting pitty from everyone else, after all the internet loves crusades. Put the cherry on top of the cake by "mistakenly" naming and shaming allthough it's very clearly against the rules, then hastely sensoring yourself to prove your good intentions.

Lastly, don't forget to have your friends downvote every single opinion that doesn't agree with your hate bandwagon. Oddly apparent by the fact that those posts are at -1 or -2, strangely coincidental considering how "unpopular" they might be. Finish your statements with "god bless" and "thanks for your time" every-single-post so that you highlight what a good samaritan you are.

Yeah it's getting ridiculous. I had two games tonight where a toxic duo queue convinced the other team that I was being racist when I barely said anything all game and nothing even close to being able to be interpreted as racist.

DEADLYDEEDZ11/21/2015, 7:08:21 PM3 votes

Yes its especially concerning when 2 people come in to a game together and are RL friends and do the same thing. They act toxic all game and get the other team which has no clue whats being said in chat to report you. This whole game is becoming nuttz.

This game is a joke. Ive never seen any other game that preaches such a friendly environment, "Summoner's Code" lel, and has the worst player base in any online game. BF4, CS: GO, GTA V, any other game is so much more enjoyable because you don't have to put up with troll players. The Tribunal is utterly worthless, offenders are never punished and are never given a reason to change their ways. 3/5 of my placement games have had 2 or more trolls that Im sure have been a toxic plague on the game forever. Its so damn prevalent. I just have to wait every single game until someone dies once and flies off the handle, blaming everyone else but themselves and either afks, trolls, or just berates the team for their shortcomings. Congratulations, Riot, for fostering online gaming's worst community hands down.

We need the tribunal to be back and be able to look through chat logs. I'm pretty sure it's against the Summoner's Code to tell the other enemy team to report someone as the enemy team can't see a way to believe you or not believe the accuser. With Tribunal Riot can detect people like this and punish them even more.

The warning of "Seem like you are a bit salty, chill out" is not a real warning. If you get reported twice in a quick sucession or something like that you'll get it, but that is an automatic process aimed to reduce toxicity in a game by warning people beforehand. It makes sense because most times if you get reported multiple times you are probably doing something wrong, and it's better a warning in time than a chat restriction later, but there will always be cases where someone reports you for no reason at all and you get that meaningless warning.

Calm the fuck down. A warning just tells you that you've been reported more than usual. And it's true, you've been reported more than usual. Nothing else will happen.

This happened before. I was learning how to jungle rengar so I called jungle. Thenplayer said please let him jungle because he played support for his past few matches. But everyone called their roles 10 seconds ago. Then he locked in jungle yi, and when the match started, he told the enemy team he didn't know why there are two junglers and said to report me. I didn't say anything but our twitch was defending me, so I decided to help him with bot lane because there was no support. As I said, I was still learning rengar in the jungle so master yi got a better score than I have. I later checked his match history and for the past two days he played Darius and Draven.

This literally happens to me every game. I dont even use chat and my team reports me for split-pushing instead of teamfighting. Now i have chat restrict for 35 games becasue ONCE i talked back to a toxic teammate.

Shitsuren11/22/2015, 5:23:11 PM1 votes

Yeah kinda same situation today i got support who was afk entire game in teambuilder matchmaking its was 4v5 then other teams yasuo went afk it was 4v4 we thot we might have a chance but NOOO our midlaner started trolling becosue reasons of hers in the end when i asked to report those 3 lb started spitting nonsence that i was the one who trolled and that i was very toxic and i was 6/1 like WTF! During season ppl were nice and at the start of preseason aswell but before end of the season all toxic players came back to get to their ranks ruining casuals games becosue they haven't played in a season or now decent players don't play us much becouse they got their ranks and waits for new season leaving all of toxic waste to get mashed up un a singe match I mean even winning team asks you now to report one of them becouse they are toxic or calling each other noobs etc. this is come BS right now i hope at the start of new season this will stop or atleast minimize.

If you got a warning then riot determined that you did do something toxic...

Being reported doesnt do anything if you did nothing to deserve a punishment

  • /all chat
  • feeding
  • afk

That's 3 reasons why that is even an option. This affects everyone's game experience. Yes, you may be innocent, but it's kinda not possible to remove this ability because 75% of the community uses that ability wisely. . . . Here is an example of a ranked game i played and got both demoted to Silver 5 and reported by the wrong-doer:

Amumu AP jg game, Janna support, and i don't remember the other champions Our ults rivaled each others, and i accept at times that a cancellation of my snare will happen, but we were under a full tower with all of our members above 75% health, and the enemies all 5 dove to the center of the tower, each below 50% health. We had cc to keep them in tower range, so I ulted. Before the tower could go off and shoot, Janna ulted. Everyone made it out alive. My other team members just said "bad luck am" and "#latereactions" or something like that, but the support blamed me for not snaring them, because that makes sense [zombie-brand-mindblown] Anyway, the rest of the game, she was way to salty in chat. If i ulted, she ulted. She told us after the match that was her only goal in the game anymore. She started talking in /all chat saying we were all roasting her for sucking, that it was "typical support abuse" None of us had said anything. My teammates all had my back in /all chat, and I considered befriending each of them for that. Obviously, we lost, but we would have easily won if she had tried. . . . The point is, there will always be players that will do that. There are mean people, and that is all they do in the League community. I wish there was something we could do other than reporting them, but they probably all have 12 smurfs to continuously do this.

Long story short: The report system operates with a combination of severity of report, confirmation that the reported things happened, and with the number or consistency of their report. The chat system verifies if you said bad things, the feeding is scanned in the report, and the history is referenced of all accounts. A person who spams reports have their every report hit in severity and sometimes ignored.

So, in a nutshell, you would never have received a warning if you weren't consistently being reported. To be brutally honest, sometimes the best thing to is disable chat and rely on pinging.
