Chat restrictions are becoming unjustified

Recently I received a chat restriction which I thought was unnecessary. I did not receive the logs behind the restriction, so I submitted a ticket asking for them. In reply I got a response telling I was spamming and extremely negative. I have linked the response and am asking you guys, is this really what people consider extremely toxic behavior? I do get that we need to improve the community by restricting TOXIC individuals, but I do not classify myself as one. Note the time stamps on my "spam" and to put my negative behavior to context, I was replying to people who really were flaming. Thoughts?

Literally spam and negative behavior, so I don't really understand what your confusion stems from.

EXTREMELY toxic? Not at all. But it is, at face value, an abuse of the chat system. Hence, your ability to use the chat system is restricted for a bit, in an effort to teach you not to use it in this way in the future.

"Replying to people who really were flaming" is a bad excuse. Escalating (or at least continuing) in-game arguments is distracting, pointless, and potentially damaging to the morale and focus of your team. The expectation, when faced with somebody who is flaming you unprovoked, is that you will mute, report, and move on.

Yep Ban System is completely flawed, but these forums are not a great place to voice your opinion. Most people on here will tell you its your fault and that you need to reform. The real toxic players continue to play while the non toxic players suffer at the wrath of their reports.

Justified. Keep your mouth shut if you don't want to pay the consequences

I think they want people to change the tone, as the passive aggressiveness tends to escalate the problem. Better to just avoid chat and use pings IMO. Voice chat would help this game a lot as it would allow more fluid communication and let people hear just how ridiculous some of the shit they say in chat sounds lol.

oh boy. While I'm usually one of those pointing out to other people who got punished / banned, why they did, in this case I have to admit there's nothing I'd consider punish - worthy.

chat spamming a "?", really? That's toxic? It's a punctuation mark. If spamming that was toxic, Riot would restrict it or prohibit it. Man Riot, get your shit together, this time you really went overboard.
