Whats Happened to Ranked?

I quit playing league of a while, but recently decided to go ahead and "just hit gold real fast" so I could get this seasons rewards, whatever they are. My placement games were fairly normal, mostly wins, some loses and the occasional troll.

I got placed in Silver 2, lame, but it happens, so I began working on my climb. I quickly, within the night, made it into silver 1. However, since then I have been placed with the most irritating types of plays. I have lost 2... ranks? idk, over the last 3 days. Loss after loss without hardly any wins in the mix at all.

These are more than just bad people, or bad match ups. I have had the pleasure of playing with some of the most, and I hate this phrase, toxic, people imaginable. For example, our adc who our team did fairly well feeding (So therefore had the majority of our teams killing power) decided and I quote "I don't feel like carrying silvers right now, afk gg" and the proceeded to afk. Or the Xin I just had the pleasure of playing with who is convinced Riot is trolling him, and promises to troll every game he can until Riot stops. This guy is, who's recent history is linked, is so bad he even admitted to being on teams so good he couldn't troll hard enough to make them lose.

This kind of behavior isn't acceptable, and Riot is the only moba who turns such an obvious blind eye to it. In Heroes people who display such repeated behavior are just banned outright, goodbye. You use to be able to trek through the muck and climb your way up, but you can't recover from a troll like you can a bad team fight. The system doesn't care if your team has 2-3 S ranks at the end of the game, if you lose because x-player decides to throw the game you still lose LP, rank or your promo.

Riot, step up and start working on solutions to this. Your game is 10 now, it should know what is acceptable and what isn't.
