14-day ban for saying "KYS".

Gangplank Soo i played a game with GP(one of my favs) and played pretty well for my standards. And as the game started the ADC on the other team said some weeb things, soo i just said "KYS". Then all of a sudden the ADC and TOP said they were gonna report me and "good bye to your account and honor level" for a good chunk of the early game.

Then when i started a game after that. I got kicked out of the champ picks and recived a 14-day ban. No chat restrictions or nonething. A straight 14-day ban, and they greifed in the game aswell, yet i highly doubt they got any penalties.

PS!! They were also duo'd, soo i guess they target ban'd me or something.

This is the expected outcome, because telling another player to kill themselves is one of Riot's strictest zero-tolerance policies. It did not matter if you had only one report or all 9: that behavior is not okay.

Just a heads up, at the end of this 14 day ban, you are going to be on super thin ice. People have been known to get permanently banned the very next game they play at the end of the 2 week ban. You cannot type anything negative in chat, no matter how mild.

Mild stuff like 'you're stupid', 'shit gank', 'why don't you watch the map', etc. are all enough to get you banned, because you're just coming off a 14 day ban. Keep quiet in chat, if you must speak, do not say anything that would offend anyone. You'll be on super-thin ice (where 1 game will get you banned) for about 2 weeks. After that, if you get reported more than ~3 times it'll still probably permanently ban you. So try not to get reported at all costs.

I honestly suggest making a new account over the ban period and playing on it. It'll remind you how shit trying to level a smurf is and why you want to keep your account.

1 report is all it takes, so even if both of them did that it doesnt change the outcome as reports do not stack.

Kys is pretty much zero tolerance ingame and on the boards, so you got the punishment that was coming.

i mean... you did

so why wouldn't they get punished too?

it wouldn't have mattered if they were 4 premades. report weight is not a thing.

1 report holds the same value as 9

So you told someone to kill themselves, because they said things which made you consider them "weeb" (your own words). It sounds to me like your punishment was well deserved. Your behavior makes me want to not give my usual advice, but here it is anyways; Warning: Your next punishment will be permanent suspension - even if you are punished for "only" negative behavior or unsportsmanlike behavior instead of zero tolerance term usage like 'kys'.

PS: "weeb" is an insult, so you might get punished for using that. Have a nice life.

Is honor level irrelevant in this? Like i am(or was) Honor lvl5 and get instant 14-day ban. Can the honor not reduce the ban? To 7 days for example.

I was Honor 5 i S7 and recently got Honor i S8. Does this not come in-account to the ban? I can't really take the chat ban system seriously when it only looks after a "Trigger" word. Rather than the game chat and its development.

So... Where's the problem?

To be honest, this was totally deserved. You can post the chat logs if you feel the need, but I doubt it's going to be anything less than your average game of total toxicity.

Yes, you don't get to dodge punishments because you were a decent human being for a little while. It doesn't work in real life, why would it work in a video game?

DuskDaUmbreon11/5/2018, 12:57:52 PM1 votes

That's how that happens for breaking the zero-tolerance filter.

You just don't say shit like that. There's never any real reason to.

Also, the ADC was 11/4/0. Hardly seems like griefing to me.

Do you ever truly wishes someone to hurt themself to the point of life and death? If you do, this ban is more than justified and quite frankly you are not really welcome in this community.

If you don't why say it? It's such a distasteful insult anyway. So clear you r head and stop saying that in game or anywhere tbh, it's just not appropriate.

here in germany we have a saying... being dumb doesnt protect you from the law/rules (it doesnt translate that well)

Faneseeker11/6/2018, 2:29:13 PM1 votes

It is a big deal don't say it anywhere period. It is distasteful.

ChiefDays11/6/2018, 2:52:29 PM1 votes

I got banned for 2 weeks as well in pre season for saying the same thing. Lesson learned, even though I've witnessed multiple occasions people saying that and reporting them didn't do anything. FeelsBadMan.

TKM Axe11/6/2018, 3:30:28 PM1 votes

its a none tolerance word like the N word

RookPusher11/6/2018, 3:40:39 PM1 votes

"Said some weeb shit" LOL.

Two things:

  1. Really? Do you really think someone should kill themselves for being a dork?
  2. Another ban that could have been solved with a mute.
