how am i perm banned, i hardly talk in game. the only time i talk is to tell people on the other team to shut up when they're being obnoxious. this is a complete joke. how can you perm ban people for a chat option in a game. IT'S CHAT. IT DOESN'T AFFECT ANYTHING IN THE GAME AND THERES A MUTE BUTTON FOR A REASON. You perm ban people for talking in chat, but yet intentional feeders and people that troll are still in game? that is ridiculous. you're destroying your game with this nonsense. Can't even have friendly banter in a game without people getting upset over it. i've never been blatantly racist, I've never said any homophobic slurs, I've never told anyone to kill themselves. Literally the worst i do is tell someone they're bad. Like what? this community is full of soft little babies it's pathetic. this game is dying, and in all honesty it cant come any sooner. Go ahead, pull up my chat logs, maybe then you'll realize that hardly any of the stuff i said is anywhere near a perm bannable offense. Yes, i am livid, i sunk over 3 thousand dollars into your game to just get perm banned because i hurt someone else's feelings. oh and also check most of the chat logs on the opposing end of these game and you'll see that they're just as toxic, and i'm defending myself. But i don't report because i'm not a little baby. Have a good day, or not i don't care either way.

Warnings were for pretty much the same thing. and it was only 1 punishment which was a 2 weeks ban. I only got chat banned like once.

Spend half their game shit talking people but if anybody says anything back it hurts their feelings and they report people. People like you make reasonable people against censorship look like idiots by association, so thanks a lot for that one.

1- It is not an unfair punishment if the individual had fair and advanced warning; This person did. 2- A private company can set-up rules and punishments as they see fit. In this case behavior and disciplinary system handles what they call "toxicity". 3- Acting in accordance with said disciplinary system is not censorship. 4- Even if it was censorship, that's still protected by law given that Riot is a private entity, subject to the protection of constitutional and even international law. 5- You can dislike and even protest the system without having to violate that system in the process, it's called civil protest. You and others like you acting like a jackass during matches is NOT helping the cause. You are literally proving them right and actively working against what you claim to believe.

Basically your argument is garbage.

But that's the thing, i was hardly being toxic. The enemy team was being more toxic then i was that game. I was just calling them out on their bs. Do you not realize this was chat during an ENTIRE game, also doesn't showcase what the enemy team was saying towards me. Yes riot has their own rules i understand that, but i feel like they're way too harsh on their punishments. Atleast chat ban me before perm banning me. It is completely unfair.

FWIW, I do think it would help if the punishment tiers were clearly laid out in each punished person's login screen just as a matter of procedure when it shows a player that they've been chat-restricted or temp-banned. This way, that player would know what comes next and that their punishments do, in fact, escalate. (many people don't read forums and don't know this stuff)

So I do have a touch of sympathy for various OP's who "didn't know I'd get perma'd!!1!" for doing the same fricking thing over and over. Often the logic goes,"if I do the same thing, I'll get the same result," which could, understandably, result in people thinking they'll just keep getting chat restricted.

I won't say I agree that what you said was friendly or "normal", however, I want to believe you when you say you were not being racist or homophobic or threatened someone.

And I totally agree that words do not need to affect anything in a game as you can mute players. If words affect anything at all it is by indirect means. People are taking words way to serious and personal, and therefore can be called little whiny soft mentalities, that let themselves being hurt by putting too much value into these words. Why cry if you are not bad at all?

First game i had a jax that was int feeding my lane and the enemy team had the audacity to talk trash call me bad and say easy game after we almost won 4v5.

Second game everyone was all chatting and being annoying and they wouldn't stop spamming "ez" "get rekt" and a bunch of other stuff being annoying.

When i said %%% in the first game i didn't mean it as a jab to homosexuals. he was just being a %%% or an annoying person. I know they look bad but im not really directing anything at anyone except for the few times i told the enemy team off.

except that people in a premade dont get individual reports, any reports of theirs are only counted once for the whole premade. so it doesnt matter if 5 people report you bc if they're premade, the system only counts it as one report
