okay...bans are a bit ridiculous now

i've been playing League for some time...and the ban system recently is prob the worst in any game i've played in the past maybe 20 years? you get banned if you speak and people just cluster up and grp report you...or you get banned if you dont speak in your games...and many more ways to get banned...i literally just got banned on this account that i JUST made a few days ago...for 14 days......i'm not looking for sympathy or anything...i did what i did and punishment is deserved.

but the amount of players getting banned recently has SKYROCKETED due to "toxic"... you shouldn't not get a perma ban for toxic...maybe perma chat restriction but perma ban? seems odd...

also it seems if a group of people report you the system auto-punishes you....doesn't seem right to me... idk

i'm quitting tho going to play WoW and GW2, you have mature filters in this game and people choose to remove them yet you get in trouble for cursing ...very stupid design imo...

so far this game is the #1 MOBA...only due to the fact most other moba's suck or have a large learning curb...once another MOBA comes in with something similar this game will be obsolete i guarantee that...riot just sucks in money and has a automated system that takes care for everything for them in a timely fashion so they don't waste their time... heading to mmo genre now..or dota which is better...

chatlogs pls. i really wanna see a guy who is gamer since ~20 years and got a 14day bann on a lv 16 account. pls show chatlogs thats going to be some good salt for my popcorn [slayer-pantheon-popcorn]

Hey Summoner,

Retaliation is almost never a reasonable reaction to other toxic players. The player you are retaliating against probably wants to see you get upset. When you get into an argument you are just creating new problems for the other players, and the trolls will just egg you on even more. The best thing to do is just mute them and report their behavior.

If you can't control your actions, I suggest muting them upon entering the match by typing "/mute all", or moving the chat window off the screen so you can't read it.

As for being mass reported, they have no extra effect on you. Punishment is calculated per match, not per report. False reports will also not hurt you, no matter how many people make them. https://ask.fm/RiotLyte/answers/133759089858

Punishment also has 4 tiers, and are typically administered in order;

10 game chat restriction
25 game chat restriction
14 day account ban
Permanent account ban

If you would like to contest your punishment with Riot, you may submit a Support Ticket, but Riot will not remove a punishment unless it was done in error.

Group reports count the same as individual reports, they just signal the system "Hey, take a look to see if this seems right".

No you don't. You can communicate using pings, you don't have to speak to anyone.

Yeah, that was the old system. It kept piling on chat restrictions, with some people having hundreds if not thousands of games worth of chat restrictions. It didn't work, so they changed it.

It's fine if you decide to leave, just don't leave because of some misconception of how the punishment system works.

common misunderstood myth.

Group reports against don't do anything to you if you haven't done anything wrong. Actually, it would flag a notification, which doesn't do anything if you didn't do anything wrong.

Now that being said, you can defend yourself, just don't become toxic in the mean while, that includes;

Don't ask others to report someone else
Don't swoop to their level and call them bad, noob, or they suck
of course you don't use homophobic slurs or tell them to kill themselves, or even wish them a certain disease.
Don't use sensitive medical terms that refers to people's mental state such as autistic, retard, moron. BTW if you didn't know, retard = someone with IQ 75 or less, moron = 50 IQ or less. Austistic = someone that has problems processing anything around them.

I have to agree with you. God forbid you try to offer anyone help on your team, cause that is toxic. "Hey Rammus we need you more tanky" - reported.
