Can I redeem myself so that I can play clash?

So recently I got a 10-game chat restriction for apparently being a bad sport. Although I would say that I was unfairly penalized, since I was only defending myself and I used one bad word in the post-game lobby, that is beside the point. What I want to know is if I'll be unable to play Clash, since my honor level is locked. I've looked at some people complaining that they've been hardstuck honor lvl 1 for more than a few months, and that kinda bothers me because I was really looking forward to playing clash. Is there a way that I can prove that I am not a bad player so that I can play this wonderful gamemode? Thanks!

Bad words are bad words, and "defending" yourself can be done without resorting to harsh or offensive language. You know you used language that is offensive and punishable, so you've got to live with the consequences. Punishments stop you from doing things you want to do as a consequence for actions you did. If you cannot bear the consequences of your actions, don't do those actions in the first place.

I only used one bad word and that was after the game ended. During the game, I was being flamed constantly for playing a champion that wasn't meta and I didn't insult them back. Would you find it fair if you were constantly being harassed, so you accidently type one bad word, which ruins not only the rewards that you get but also prevents you from participating in clash? I was honor level 3, and a fair punishment I believe is to demote me to honor level 2. I would also like to add that I rarely ever use bad words in-game, and the only time that I do is when I am being harassed to the point where I feel like I need to defend myself.

I would also like to add that I am only human, therefore I will occasionally make mistakes. I do not believe that I should've been punished so severely for the mistake that I made, because it was only 1 word, which happened after the game ended. You may say that all mistakes need to be punished, which I do agree, but punishing me so harshly really breaks my heart.

Except Honor system was designed to reward players, not be another level of punishment. Because of how they set up Clash, Riot went back on that Honor system goal and have locked part of their game away WHILE not having a solid tracking system for honor which is ALSO reliant on teammates deciding to honor the individual. It's a fucked system.

Yes I am Honor level 1 and may not be able to play clash till I hit honor level 2. It took me 20 days to get a leaf so doing the math would take 80 days to be able to go up to honor level 2. (estimated for me specifically) a month is 28 days so would take me around 3 months to be able to hit honor level 2. (estimated)

I just find it unfair that they just took my honor level away completely. They could've demoted me to lvl 2, but instead they penalized very harshly and now I am kinda sad.

Yes I agree the system is a bit unfair. For my first punishment I got hit with a 15 game chat restriction + demoted to honor level 1. After you finish your chat restriction time they hit you with the "you still wont earn rewards until we notice a difference in your attitude" message. Which means good luck dont type anything. Then the exhausting time it is to grind for honor level (i play like all day and still have school and soon to be work so I feel bad for any that can only play 1-2 games a day). People who claim "If you cannot take the heat then don't do it" are shitty people only for 1 reason. League doesn't use context when evaluating your chat logs. So unfair punishment is very plausible. 2 It feels really shitty playing a game that won't reward you for playing it and bans you from playing with your friends. I was honor level 3 with 3/3 leafs.

I always thought the system was unfair (in fact majority think it is from what I know I could be wrong)

Yeah this punishment really discouraged me. One thing that I hope that they fix is the numbers of honors to get out of lvl 1. If it takes several months just to get out of lvl 1, then that is really depressing and unfair in my opinion.

They should have it so your honor decays when you do not play, add another honor tier, half the time it takes to climb honor levels, and make it so you can dishonor people for bad behavior in game (would count against your honor level) I think that would be a good system.

i hear ya my man! ive been chat banned twice in the last 2 years and before that i was at honor level 4. after my 2 chat bans over the course of a few months i was dropped to level 0 with a locked honor. its been prolly 6 months now since then and i play at least 1 match per day, and just last night i hit checkpoint 3 on honor level 1. now talk about getting jipped. im literally 1 checkpoint away from honor level 2.... after being a good player and not being toxic anymore and i still cant join clash. i have 7 days to do this last checkpoint to get to level 2 or else i cant participate. thats brutal. from my estimates it takes about 1 month of solid playing everyday to get through 1 honor checkpoint. NOT A LEVEL, A CHECKPOINT

There is a passive honor gain. It just rises faster if you get honored. You can also gain a small boost if every one on your team honors someone, even if you, yourself, receive none.

You won't have time to get back to honor 2, as it is a long process, so sadly you'll miss out this time around.

As a side note, "defending" yourself from flame is muting, not flaming them back. That is why you got muted, not because you used explicit language. That language is not something that will get you muted in itself, it matters how you use it. For example:

"My bad, I fucked that up" is fine.

"Fucking retard jungler doesn't gank" is not.

I defend myself without using such harsh language. I do believe that one has the right to defend oneself, but you are right in the sense that I could've muted. In your example, I would probably "Why doesn't my jungler gank is beyond me" instead of "Fucking retard jungler doesn't gank", which I do believe is not worthy of being penalized.

Someone made a post saying it took him 7 months of getting honored almost every single game to get back 1 honor level. So, no. You probably will not be able to play clash.
