Can I redeem myself so that I can play clash?

So recently I got a 10-game chat restriction for apparently being a bad sport. Although I would say that I was unfairly penalized, since I was only defending myself and I used one bad word in the post-game lobby, that is beside the point. What I want to know is if I'll be unable to play Clash, since my honor level is locked. I've looked at some people complaining that they've been hardstuck honor lvl 1 for more than a few months, and that kinda bothers me because I was really looking forward to playing clash. Is there a way that I can prove that I am not a bad player so that I can play this wonderful gamemode? Thanks!

Bad words are bad words, and "defending" yourself can be done without resorting to harsh or offensive language. You know you used language that is offensive and punishable, so you've got to live with the consequences. Punishments stop you from doing things you want to do as a consequence for actions you did. If you cannot bear the consequences of your actions, don't do those actions in the first place.

There is a passive honor gain. It just rises faster if you get honored. You can also gain a small boost if every one on your team honors someone, even if you, yourself, receive none.

You won't have time to get back to honor 2, as it is a long process, so sadly you'll miss out this time around.

As a side note, "defending" yourself from flame is muting, not flaming them back. That is why you got muted, not because you used explicit language. That language is not something that will get you muted in itself, it matters how you use it. For example:

"My bad, I fucked that up" is fine.

"Fucking retard jungler doesn't gank" is not.

Someone made a post saying it took him 7 months of getting honored almost every single game to get back 1 honor level. So, no. You probably will not be able to play clash.

i hear ya my man! ive been chat banned twice in the last 2 years and before that i was at honor level 4. after my 2 chat bans over the course of a few months i was dropped to level 0 with a locked honor. its been prolly 6 months now since then and i play at least 1 match per day, and just last night i hit checkpoint 3 on honor level 1. now talk about getting jipped. im literally 1 checkpoint away from honor level 2.... after being a good player and not being toxic anymore and i still cant join clash. i have 7 days to do this last checkpoint to get to level 2 or else i cant participate. thats brutal. from my estimates it takes about 1 month of solid playing everyday to get through 1 honor checkpoint. NOT A LEVEL, A CHECKPOINT

Yes I am Honor level 1 and may not be able to play clash till I hit honor level 2. It took me 20 days to get a leaf so doing the math would take 80 days to be able to go up to honor level 2. (estimated for me specifically) a month is 28 days so would take me around 3 months to be able to hit honor level 2. (estimated)
