End of season rewards?

Is there a difference between a ban and suspension? I got a suspension that ends on the 19th, so it won't be active when the season ends, but it is longer than 7 days and was after 8/22. Which is odd because according to the FAQ, the penalty goes from chat restrictions straight to 14 days through the instant feedback system and there is no 7 day ban/suspension. Would I still be eligible for any of the rewards?

As someone that grinded super hard this season and played a lot throughout (especially at the beginning), I'm irritated with myself for losing my shit at the end of the season, even though I was playing significantly more and honorably at the beginning. I'm hoping that I'm still eligible, but wasn't sure given the wording of the post.

You can skip the chat restriction and go straight to a 14 day ban if you were toxic enough. So no, you will not be eligible for rewards.

Fair enough; So a suspension is the same thing as ban/synonymous? I'm just curious as to why they specify the 8/22 date specifically. It kinda sucks that I played a significant portion of my almost two thousand games before that deadline and wasn't toxic, but I ended up losing my shit after the deadline. Like, if someone made the same mistake I did, but at an earlier time, even if the both of us had spent an equal amount of time during the season being honorable, the timing of my mistake was the problem? I guess I just need to be better...

Also why 7 days given that according to the FAQ, I'm not sure 7 day bans can even be given. Or it might just be that I was reading off the Instant Feedback FAQ?

There are no 7 day bans. I suppose It would be possible for someone at Riot to manually ban you for 7 days, but that would be extremely unlikely. It is odd that they use a 7 day cutoff though as 14 is the standard through the Instant feedback system and manual bans for AFKing/Inting.

Guess so, man that sucks. Wish I could appeal, but I assume that doesn't work.

I kinda wonder whether or not the system would be more fair if they switched it to removing rewards for getting banned at all rather than having that deadline. It doesn't make as much sense to have one person who gets banned at the beginning of the season and then plays maybe 50 games later on to get the rewards when someone who plays thousands of games earlier in the season, but make the same mistake later on and not get it. Kinda like percentage of the season spent being honorable?
