What happens when you report a player for afk at the end of the game?

So me and my buddies were playing league like usual. Well one of my friends were being a little toxic to the enemy team and so were they so it just kept going back and forth. I believe the toxicity started because his internet was acting up so he restarted it and the enemy with the worst k/d/a was talking smack. When it came to the end of the game they whole enemy team except one of them was against my friend. When I was reporting the jinx for being toxic I also reported my friend for being afk cause at the time it seemed funny and he was only gone for about 5 min. When we got in the next game he was chat banned and before that i had gotten a message for a successful report and he thinks that I am to blame. So I am asking if my afk report on him was part of the reason he was chat banned or not because now he has stopped talking to me since the incident.

The only one to blame for his behavior in chat is him, and he would've been punished whether you reported him or not. If he is holding you responsible for his actions then he doesn't sound like much of a friend. Many players would've reported him to lead up to that chat restriction.

If you reported him for afk i doubt that would lead to having him Chat Restricted. I would assume when you report people for afk it lets LeaveBuster know and try to verify if they actually left. If he was toxic in chat as well and gotten chat restricted its more than likely someone else reported him for toxic behavior and got chat restricted from it!

Unless your real names is Charles Xavier you aren't responsible for his actions, and you should report him regardless. Now in context of your poll, I would have to say your report helped.
