REPORTING IN (AND OUT OF) CHAMPION SELECT SHOULD BE A THING BY NOW

So I think the title speaks for itself... I'm sure people have brought this topic up a thousand times before but seriously, why hasn't this feature been implemented yet? Just today I had someone call me a f-got in champ select because I told them that they didn't get mid (safe to say I dodged that game). How is that fair? Me having to dodge because of someone else being an asshole. Usually the team can figure something out, like switching roles or whatever, but when someone outright abuses you for no reason... that's just wrong.

Really all you need to do is add the report button and a few different report options for verbal abuse, insta-lock etc.

It's been talked about to death and I believe Riot claimed that at some point (TM) with the new champ select coming out, they'd allow for it.

With the current system, Lyte claimed that they can see pre- and post-game chats and that both will affect the case.

Yeah, that's obviously horseshit...I've had countless pre-game assholes/trolls flame, threaten to feed, spam their C&P (claiming they're a smurf, but only if they're last pick, because of fucking course), and then play sweet to the enemy in the game so that the other guys seem like the asshole. The worst part: IT WORKS. The system clearly does not work to combat trolling, both in-game AND in-lobby, and gives a free pass to anyone that doesn't say "kill yourself".

How dare you invite more toxicity into this game by giving more avenues for people to report players.

My pet peeve..

I almost always call fill.

and then when I ask where some people are going I sometimes face profanity and insults for not being able to "read" however I just connected after someone was able to spam "mid or feed"

First off: Since Tribunal (which couldn't read pre/post chat) is not active anymore, this is really only a problem when the game doesn't even start, since Riot has always been able to read pre/post chat games. And even then, it's debatable, because secondly: Most (not all, naturally) people that are toxic in pre/post game chat are also dicks ingame. Maybe not the same games, but they do slip up and they will get banned for their general behaviour.

Not having report function in champion select just slows down the system a little. At that point it's simply a priority/efficiency problem. How effective would the change be and how much time/effort/money does it take to implement the change? Or in short: How efficient am I if I implement this change? And other changes were always more efficient.

Any time you interact with another summoner in any in game fashion you should be able to honor and/or report them.

@OP and all other butthurt players: Just grow some balls or press the mute button. Who cares? It's a game you are playing with complete strangers who you will probably never see in your games again. Mute, play, get on with your life.
