Sharing what I learned from something as simple as a chat restriction.

This is a repost of mine from 5 years ago, i'm not toxic anymore i took a break came back a little older and less cancerous and just enjoy the game but i see so many people raging in the chat i felt the need to re-share this. i also thing rito needs to chat ban more people nowadays ( link to original post)

Well the best is from the beginning. I"m pretty BM, I'm quick to anger and insult my own team mates and blame others for my mistakes over-committing and bad positioning on my AD carry or jungle etc So I got really toxic during a match and after so long RITO gave me a chat restriction. This chat restriction is the only disciplinary action i have ever revived from RITO and to be honest from any game... Any way I thought it was bull, and that this was RITO being jerk's. So, I like to indulge in a game after i get after work it;s the only thing i really have time for after i get home from work i work 13 hrs a day 4 days a week with a 30 min commute each way and so i am normally toxic because i love my job but i get screwed by my boss allot yeah, yeah.... some of you probably has it worse if you need to know what i do i will post it upon request if you wanna have contest over it but now that i have played a few games as I'm currently training my Janna support up trying to find all the ways can use her kit. Some games i do bad and then i get mad and then start saying things with mild irritation and that as much as can type i can't get BM on people it stops me and then it causes me think and realize how bad i have become about just tearing into people for no reason other then they messed up a few times. Now that can''t get after people I have to think about what I type allot more and say what i really need to with limited MSG's. What I want people to walk away after this is if you start being a keyboard BAMF it starts affecting how your games end and really how much you really enjoy the game. now that I can't get mad and tell people off in an unnecessary fashion. I'm actually playing better, enjoying the game more and in the last week i have added allot of players to my friend list.

So don;t be BM, just play the game and let the baddies play in peace they will get better its just a game. you will play better and you are going to make better plays and more team plays if you address them as places to improve as a TEAM instead of raining on someones parade or getting unnecessarily angry over it. you WILL win more and you will enjoy the game more it dsnt matter what ELO your are in just be a good person for a second and crazy things happen!

also if a mod see this m not trying to get my chat restriction lifted it was Just crazy how something so small "a chat restriction" made me think so hard about my actions and how toxic of a person i have become, so i wanted to share this with other to maybe get others to think about there in-game attitude

Easiest way to not be toxic is to assume you have 9 enemies and that 1 or 2 of those will afk after getting outplayed and then your jungler afks shortly after because he was being flamed for not ganking. Also, I disagree with your, it's just a game mindset when it comes to ranked. You are actually climbing in there. If someone is performing very poorly and or griefing, they're ruining a competition, not a game. There wouldn't be multi million dollar tourneys if it was just a game. I think that's something many people forget. If toxic players did half the stuff they did in a real sport, they would be off the team or benched multiple games in a row because at the end of the day, winning is more important than someone's feeling being hurt for being called bad.
