Report this to player support.

But, this is in a private message. You should remove the person / block them on your friends list. This is an opt-in communication which you can end at any time.

I'm sorry for grave digging this thread, but I've seen that Rioters are not very active in player behaviour topics, so I would like to catch the possibility to maybe talk with one of them.

Why is there a "but"? It a little bit implies to me, that if the player "can end at any time" then it is not such a big deal, is it really the case or did I misunderstand something?

(If I never get a reply to this, or even gets removed for grave digging, no problem, but I hope the rioters would pay a little bit more attention to "player behaviour" topics, since here is what the problems with the game are, yet I don't see too much activity by their side!)

Totally agree with that, I reported a player telling me and others to kill ourselves, both in game and through riot support and stalked his profile. He kept playing and playing and all I got from riot support was cookie cutter responses over and over. The "but" is indeed really weird as the same thing can apply in game "just mute them".

Problem is that the system can't watch over direct messages because of some data security reasons. I guess.

I went ahead and edited out the player name you had in your OP for violation of our naming and shaming rules. The rest of your post is fine, but I would recommend submitting a support ticket with the date, time, and player name/region they're on. Also, providing screenshots will also help. Basically, the more information you're able to provide the better it will help them look into the matter for you. Keep this in mind for the future!

Send the screenshots in a support ticket. They'll move it along to the player behavior team.

Posting here will only get this thread edited/deleted due to naming and shaming rule, plus a Red can't give you any information about any punishments this user may get anyways.

Tbh, calling him an idiot is "toxic", but this is the forums, not in the middle of a match. That's the difference. Everyone thinks so shallow and thinks whatever you say here, applies to your attitude in game. The rules are slightly different, and the stakes are much lower, so it's two completely different ways of handling things.

In the idealistic world, it's not cool to fight fire with fire, but I think there are certain situations where you just gotta laugh it off.

There have been enough incidents of cyber-bullying where the victims fell into these kinda hate messages, so either you let them make you feel small and give into that threat, or you laugh it off and do something about it.

No, he means the mentality of lashing back at flamers and actually egging them on. That could get you punished in game.

Exactly. There's nothing wrong really with egging someone on (talking generally here, not rules of the game) but then to come on the forums and complain about the flame? Just idiotic, I agree.
