So, riddle me this was i banned for hoping a very toxic player gets banned, or was it for being salty in a pretty short game, or maybe the "ez" right before we lost???

That's why. You harassed Vayne all game. Regardless of any situation, you are to never harass a player. If you're having problems with a player mute them. Don't ask for reports. Because asking for a report is a harassment and against the ToU.

The "ez" part encourages a lot of players to report you for unsportsmanliike attitude.

I realize that you might think that considering there is no context. The first 3 messages were a joke, and vayne clearly understood as she responded with haha and a :)), the 4th and 5th ones, i don't really see why you would see that as me harassing vayne. She wanted to report me for dying twice to a twisted fate and lux after being sniped by a lux q and dying instantly since i am squishy. And the last 4, i understand that it's bad to say such things, but you really couldn't see what she was writing, vayne herself was ranting and flaming in team chat like a madman. So i don't see why that would be as unsportsmanlike attitude, and i said the ez at the end exactly when we lost, which i also don't see why would be seen as a bad thing. This is why i think the riot report system is very loose. All of this in my opinion of course.

It doesn't matter if you were joking or not, and it doesn't matter if Vayne was flaming in chat. Your behavior (calling for reports excessively) is what got you punished. Not Vayne's.

Yet my calling for reports was punished when i actually meant for them to report her 3 times, yet over the entire match she called for reports a total of 15 times, i reported her too. Yet i got punished? Also should mention that our entire team understood my situation but her

Your penalty and her penalty are two different cases. This is about you and what you've done. Much like the Riot, the IFS, and the community, the board doesn't dispute who started what. It's about how you respond. And how you've responded was done with negativity. That is why you got punished. You handled your situation poorly and didn't help the situation responsibly.

If she comes to the board and asks why she been penalized, and if she did what you claim, we'd tell her the EXACT same thing. Just because someone is toxic doesn't mean you get to be too.

So we are supposed to stand there and take the toxicity like a bitch? If i'm not allowed to put a player in their place and show them why they are wrong, then why not just use the same chat system club penguin had??? If apparently players aren't allowed free speech, and are banned for the slightest negativity, why even have chat? Players use chat to communicate, in a positive manner or not, so why even have it if you can't show your opinion without getting punished. I would even argue that most of the playerbase wouldn't give to shits if chat was disabled, seeing as apparently chatting is inting and you should only look in chat for pings.

Take it like a bitch? What a bunch of words on a video game client that has absolutely no meaning going to do? Just fucking mute it. You're not here for some word contest seeing who has the biggest e-balls. You're here to focus on a video game and win the damn game, not worry about some possible 13 years old who is trying to have a moment to shine on the internet during their summer break.

Get over it, and play the game. That's all we're here for. Nothing else. You're not here to climb the peak of who has the best insult or who you can get punished. We're here for one thing and one thing only. That's winning enjoying the game.

You're not "taking it like a bitch", what you doing is doing what you intended to do and play the video game. That's what Riot expect, that's what your team expect, and I quite honestly believe that's what you expected yourself to be doing.

Mute. Play. Report. Move on.

That's what really fucking pisses me off, people who Mute and report you, why the hell would they ruin your experience if they don't give a single fuck, scummy people like this are one of the biggest reasons to me being "toxic". I might be here to play the game, but i'm also here to chat with people, games aren't for winning, they are for having fun. If you have that kind of mindset you are a pretty fucking scummy person.

You're right, it is meant to have fun, but people like enjoying the game by winning. Especially if they're in Ranked. Why would you give a shit if they report you? Unless you did something wrong, they can report you 100x and Riot wouldn't even bat an eye.

Just because you feel the need to demand, insult, or have some sort of inflammatory comment doesn't mean they have to tolerate you. NO ONE has to tolerate ANYONE. Let them mute you and let them report you. I've been told I was going to get reported so many times and not once have I been received a penalty or even a warning. Just because you're here to play and chat, doesn't mean everyone else has to. So get over it.

Yes, you got punished for calling for reports excessively. The IFS reviews a match if there's any number of reports greater than zero - in other words, you literally only need one report to get a player reviewed. Calling for reports is effectively useless, and in cases like yours, harassment.

Again; what Vayne did does not factor into your punishment. If they did as you say, and you reported them as you say, they more than likely got punished.

Allow me to repeat: Vayne and their conduct is irrelevant to the case of you and your conduct.

Which is exactly why i think riot's banning system is bad, taking the log of 1 player who didn't think it was right of someone to say a certain thing in chat, where as they say it in a negative light because they drag down the team's will to play apparently means they have to get banned? And even going as far as ignoring the player which was the root problem of the issue and was also the one who had to continue it.

Seems like you are one to talk, i'm not saying i shouldn't be punished in that sentence, after all my discussion was so i could know WHY i was banned, i just think that's it's a scummy move banning one person rather than both.

The system punishes based on consistency x severity.

We tell you that whether they get a punishment has no relevance to you as you don't know what their is their behavioral history is like.

If you got banned for this game, then you probably have gotten a 25-game chat reatriction or 14-day ban before. Since you are a repeat offender, it means your consistency is much higher than people who've never been punished before, thus you are more likely to get punished .

For all we know, that vayne might be toxic 1% of their games while you may be toxic in 5% of your games. If you both have the same severity in toxicity, the vayne would have to play 5x more games than you before they get punished.

This was my 9th match on my account, if they take the % into account with low level players, they might just have the worst ban system in the history of video games. This is exactly what might lead new players to not wanting to play the game, or not even experiencing the whole game and just playing like a zombie saying a few words every 100th match. If Riot thinks that's ok fine, but i'll still play the game knowing this, and that doesn't mean i respect it, in fact it's one of the stupidest ways to keep your community happy and safe. Yet i'll still keep playing this shitty game because of the one in a hundred matches where it's actually FUN to play the game and you aren't just playing against machines who don't care about having fun.

If you're only 9 matches in, then the system that punishes based on Severity X Consistency will of course punish you.

Only 9 games in, one instance of toxicity is naturally considered very consistent.

hmmmm .... there are couple of things that could have happened:

  1. There is a rumor that new accounts (if they are alt accoutns) are looked at with a tighter lens. As Riot can identify and track that the owner of that account was someone that got punished before.

  2. You used some pretty severe chats in your first couple of games and it didn't show on your reform card as it only shows 1-5 recent games of unacceptable behavior.

  3. You editted something out and aren't telling us the whole truth. If that's the case, shame on you.

  4. There was a bug in the system and showed you the wrong logs.

  5. You were punished incorrect. This is a 0.001% chance of error, so it is highly unlikely to happen.

That said, if you wish, you can send a ticket to https://support.riotgames.com and ask them to review the punishment.

Even if your last statement isn't related to my ban i think i'll answer you this, i don't see how it would be a serious nerf if riot made Lux unable to snipe someone without them seeing her on their screen because of how long it can go. Same with Nidalee and Jayce.
