So a month or so ago I got a bit upset and was taken away by the honor level 2 .. Since then I play quite a bit and get a lot of honor and sometimes also the most in the group .. But I'm still stuck on Dishonor "you have reached checkpoint 0 of 3. get back to honor level 2" How level 2 if i can not reach at all to level 1.. When can I return to at least be at level 1...? I'm still standing on dishonor

Hethalean1 votesYou will get there, but Dishonor is not easy to get out of (nor should it be). It's similar to thinking "How can I walk to the opposite side of the state? I've taken a lot of steps yet I'm still not to the next town yet." It's a long road still I think even after they reduced the requirements recently. No one outside of Riot knows for sure the mechanics involved in leveling up honor to be able to predict WHEN you'll get it. Just keep getting honored... not saying toxic stuff in game (evne if you don't get reported, it still counts against your honor gains).

Because honor is a rewarding thing to be, there is a reason you went to dishonor. You pretty much had to work to get to dishonor. I see no reason that you have to work to get OUT of it. The thing is that you're dishonor because your behavior was not acceptable. SO it is hard to get out because you need to consistently and constantly NOT display that behavior... like the rest of the people who aren't ever dishonored.
I also don't buy the 'resentment' angle. While yes, people can get resentful about it, but it seems this day and age if the slightest thing goes wrong for any reason at all. Like let's say... you had to wait 3 minutes extra for the city bus, people will be resentful to the max about it. Especially the type of poeple who typically get dishonor in the first place.
remakoro1 votesNo i didnt have to wrok for it. I said one word and went from honor lvl 5 to 14 days and honor ban without any prior warnings. Almost year ago and im still honor lvl 0. And it does not matter if you buy it or not. It wont change facts. It brings resentment. After punishment ends you could turn over clean even with honor lvl 1. And just enjoy things without additional reminders of how much riot hated what you did. But getting from honor 0 to honor 1 takes me longer than it took me to get from honor 2 to honor 5. And every time I open my profile i can see that honor lvl 0 staring at me saying "yea we screwed you over nothing. did you enjoy that?". I dont sound resentful enough to you? Prior to that, game was much more fun and enjoyable for me. I dont use chat even 1/10 of the time i did before but its easy to tell im four times as toxic. And by all means im not unique. Therefore i doubt im the only one feeling or thinking that way. I dont buy this whole thing about unnacceptable behavior. And i have actual grounds and reasons for that. Now what? Riot stopped dishing out punishments for most harmless behavior? No they didnt. So doubting/denying something wont wipe that thing from existence.
I would forget about that unjustifed ban already but that honor 0 reminds me every fucking time i open my client.
Hethalean1 votesThe reason I don't buy is because I don't buy that the resentment is brought about from the dishonor, and not other factors in one's life like an inability to handle ones expectations, emotions, and reactions. That's what I was pointing out with the end example there. Is the bus being 3 minutes late REALLY that big of a life change? I don't think so. It's anecdotal that it's what brings the resentment. It could be just a biproduct of your situation. That's why I don't buy it. It's not really a 'fact' because it doesn't sound like you've ruled out potentially other factors.
That being said... With a year at honor 0, it really sounds like there are things you are doing to keep you there. Once dishonored, even unpunished toxic behavior will inhibit your gains. I've definitely heard of people getting out of dishonor a lot faster than that. I cannot verify because it's neither common knowledge, or a situation that I've been in.
As for 'saying one word', it might be. However, there is a short short list of things that will get you punished for using only once. Those words aren't just a 'oh i said this simple word'. No, you used extremely hateful words if only ONE word brought the punishment. It takes work to either think it's ok to say that word to vent your frustration. Otherwise, you're misrepresenting your actual punishment. It's extremely rare that just ONE bad game gets you punished.

And i think you misunderstood me. I dont feel overall resentful. Only towards riots policies and punishment system. So why would i even think of accounting other factors?

I would say one would try to account for other factors because self knowledge and introspection is important to understanding WHY you're feeling the way you do. I have seen so many friends get mad at things that don't make sense... and it's because they don't sit back and think... Why am I mad?
I watched a friend get mad at their dog because it peed on the carpet. Now, do you think that dog DESERVED IT? No, dogs aren't trying to upset us. That dog just had to pee pretty bad and hadn't been let out. That or it didn't know that peeing inside was not kosher. Upset with yourself because you didn't anticipate your dog's needs well enough so now you have more work to do... Understandable. Mad at the dog for that? No, not understandable in my experience.
I've had drinks thrown in my face because of my policy of not buying drinks for randos in bars. I go out to hang with friends... not have some person (male or female) leech free drinks from me. Now in that scenario, that person got mad at me for my policy, and felt it was a punishment most likely (did not verify but they were pretty mad about it). However, does it make sense to get mad at me? No, I would propose that it does not make sense to be mad at me for that situation.
tldr; Self knowledge and why things make you feel the way they do is important.
Now, you used a homophobic slur admittedly, but also said 'no one got hurt'? How do you know? I think we have evidence to the contrary (aka you got reported) that someone DID get hurt. Did you take a survey, or is your evidence that no one got hurt that no one called you on it? In that case, you're mad at a company's policy (that you knew full well in advance) that they just enforced. Do you also get mad at cops if you get a speeding ticket?
Now, I can be more easily convinced if Riot's policies made no sense, and were silly. They might be borderline, but in my opinion, definitely not enough so that being frustrated at them feels like the right reaction. In the case of slurs and calling people whatever you used (i generally haven't found one on the 'No no, one time use = punishment list' that I disagree with being on there), I don't think Riot's policies are out of line.

Yea dude i know that no one got hurt cuz my lane opponent tried to troll/upset me so most likely he reported me when he saw chance. I dont see any mystery about that. I didnt use that as homophobic slur and i know how people usually react or understand that. And i also dont buy idea that someone can die or suffer terrible flashback after seeing in chat "horrible forbidden bad word". And if there is a person thats actually in such horrible condition - he should seek medical treatment instead of playing lol.
Now to speeding ticket. Riot never released their list of banned words. Yea not knowing the law should not release you from responsibility. BUT. You example completely wrong. Imagine knowing you can get fined for offense and instead ending up in jail after whole life of being exemplary citizen.
