I will fully admit I lost my cool. I remember this game, Caitlyn and Alistar were both being very toxic and I was trying to get them to stop. They were talking shit to the rest of our team, and I wasn't having a particularly good day to be super tolerant of that.

If a in game chat restriction is deemed appropriate... then so be it. It will be a reminder for the future to calm myself.

But did they get some kind of punishment as well? They were being way more toxic than I was and if I am getting a punishment while they arent I am about to really be upset with how this situation is handled.

I try to be positive in games, and I try to not flame people having a rough game or anything like that. At most I just fire back sometimes at people being toxic to the team because I want them to stop.

"Why not just mute them"

Because I play to win, and what if they actually stopped and typed something strategically relevant? Then I am lowering my chances of winning.

Alistar sold his items at the end of the game, and didn't try to get a sightstone forever. Caitlin talked down our team all game long.

So like i said... if my punishment is earned, then it is and I wont complain. I just want to know they got some kind of punishment as well... I do 100% feel it would be unfair for me to get punished while they arent.

Yes this punishment was earned no doubt. Also this is just a chat restriction, so afterwards comes a 14 day then a perma.

" Why not just mute them". If they are being toxic you SHOULD mute them right away and report after game, thats all you need to do and if that alistar and cait will eventually get penalized to should they continue or have a previous record of toxic behavior,

It doesn't matter if you have competitive nature and want to win, pings are just as good for communication, you ping everything any paths you will take, 3 green arrows down a lane to suggest you are split pushing and so on.

If you want to keep that way of thinking, that because you want to win soo bad, you would risk using the chat to reply negatively to someone being toxic, it will only bring you down further, and eventually if this repeats you end up with a perma, then back on the boards to fight for your case just like most of the people here.

If your team is being toxic in the chat in first place then the chances of you losing vs the chances of them actually making a decent winning strategy are the exact same. Even if you tell them you're muting them and do it, you dont get penalized at all, and no report can be made onto you suggesting you refused to communicate. At the end you should be the one reporting them but not typing anything back in the chat, that is the only safe and efficient way you can report people, get them penalized and save your own behavior and account from a punishment

So think things over, dont end up with a perma, you still got a good chance to get yourself together

good luck
