A brief background: Played league for over a year and have only gotten one 10 game chat suspension when I slipped up. No other suspensions of any kind. I read up on the topic and saw that people who get banned usually (or always) have a 14 day ban first as a warning, and if they continue it is perma.

SO... This is what happened: I was in a game as support, ashe adc feeding, I buy mobis and roam. This is a very common strategy but the ashe is new and took personal offense and started telling everyone to report me. Ashe flames me and starts inting down mid (doing so the entire game) so I talk shit to her and tell her how bad she is.. She finishes 1/15 while inting the whole second half of the game, I finish 2/1/10, but of course we still lost. I told her to fuck herself in post game lobby, reported her, within 5 minutes I am banned.

This must be a mistake. I love league so much and truly believe this was an error because I haven't even had a 14 day ban yet.

In retrospect I understand how I was in the wrong. Talking shit isn't ever the right response, and actually the first thing I did was mute her but my teammates didn't and I could tell she was talking a lot of shit based on what they were saying. It's just so blatantly obvious how the penalty system is automated and no context is taken into account, ever. If a riot employee was watching that game the ashe would've been banned, not me.

Did your ban notification specify that you were banned for toxic chat logs, or was it vague? If it just said "permanent suspension, yadda yadda" without providing logs, I'd suspect that you actually just had a poorly-timed security lock, which can easily be lifted with a support ticket.

If you WERE provided logs, we'd like to see them.

I won't be surprised. My problem is that although they provide warnings they expect you to be insulted and take it and not defend yourself. Riot is the kind of company that would blame YOU for defending yourself if someone attacked you and you tried to defend yourself. They are not run by humans but by some sort of AI that does not weigh in circumstances or context, they just see a few keywords and boom. Yes I'm extremely bitter because it happened to me all the time, my teammates would feed or int i would break meta and win lanes but yes because i broke meta and they fed and insult me and i defend myself like any human would I got punished. It's sad because its an otherwise enjoyable game but according to Riot "retard" holds the same weight as the n word or a homophobic slur. All it takes is a duo que of crybabies and Rito will side with the mob no matter what.

You say you understand how you were wrong but in reality you don’t. Twice you make an excuse as to why you flamed. Despite Ashe being both bad and an inter it’s not ok to flame her. Report and move on. Doing that means only she will get punished. Once you start flaming that means you are susceptible to punishment...thus your ban.

All that being said I don’t think saying “go fuck yourself” is worth a ban if you haven’t had a 14 day but you didn’t post chat logs so you prob said more or worse stuff so you deserve it.
