Hello, so I got chat banned for 10 games for a not so good reason. This means that I am ineligible to earn loot due to previous behavioral restrictions. I don't think I have never been banned / muted previously, this was my first time. (I will post the chat log down under.) I think it is really stupid that Riot punishes those whom are chat banned for once, and by making it so that you are never ever again able to earn loot. Am I the only one who thinks that this is just utterly stupid? Ok, I understand that I got muted, because a player online got insulted for my actions. The funniest part to this story is that I had 0/3 stats as Jhin and my teammates were 1/6, 1/5 and so forth. They flamed me and I didn't flame them back. I basically said bot is GG because the enemy adc got a triple kill which lead him to be 3/0 and 30cs ahead of me. I also stood still as Jhin, because hecarim ganked me from behind and I had no summoners, which basically means that I am dead. I did not flame our Lee Sin, I just addressed that my win percentage is really low when I have a Lee in my team. I basically just said that it is a curse that has been laid upon me. Anyway, my current rank is plat 2 and this happened a few days ago. I have suffered the 10 game penalty, which in my honest opinion was not rightfully given to me in the first place. I understand that I was acting a bit unsportsmanlike, by saying "gg" at around 10 minute mark or a bit earlier if I recall correctly, but I was not the only one that was thinking that way. I am not asking for forgiveness from Riot, because they have their rules and standards which they are following. I am just simply asking, why the system is how it in it's current state is. Also, I am not sure how this works, but I am pretty sure I can't take part in the hextech crafting category any more, correct me if I am wrong. You can start earning Hextech loot again. It'll take you something like 35 games of showing you've improved your behavior. Continue the negative behavior and you'll end up getting punished again and be ineligible even longer, but play your games and not contribute to a negative environment and you'll earn loot again in no time.

First of all it is not forever like you mentioned.

Second, to earn crafting loot is a reward for good behaviour, if you want that again you have to at least be neutral in your games.

The penalty isn't permanent. Be positive for 10-20 games and you'll be able to use hextech again. It's not a set number of games but if you have X games where you don't act negative the system considers you reformed. Just say nothing but "gg" "wp" and "gj" and you'll be back to crafting in no time.

P.S. punishments are rarely handed out because of one game. Chances are you were punished because of negative behavior over quite a few games. Did they only give you chat logs from one game?

It's not "never ever again able to earn loot" though. It's show improvement/just don't rage and eventually you'll regain the ability to earn loot. Not a certain time, not a certain # of games, but eventually.

It wouldn't be a punishment if people knew when it would end.
