Banned for little to no reason

So i just got banned for 2 weeks.... thats my whole break from school. I was playing kayn and my wukong mid was raging my the entire game because i didnt gank him. I relatively kept my cool to avoid getting banned, and i did. But as the game went on he said things like "i hope you get cancer" and "i hope i see your firstborn die in a car crash" and much more. I still kept my cool for the most part, maybe said a couple things, but a 2 week ban seems SO excessive its not even funny. I did recently have chat restrict but to get this punishment honestly makes me question the current state of the tribunal

You admit to recently having a chat restriction. Then you went right back to negative behavior. Hence why you were given a suspension - obviously the restriction didn't make you improve, so maybe a ban will get the message across.

Why leave him unmuted just to test your cool? I don't see the point of why people letting them say these things to them. Want communication? There's pings for a reason. I feel like people use this as an excuse to retaliate and say things that are against the system and thinking they will get a free pass. I would have muted the guy right off the bat.
