Banned once again for reporting toxicity!

So basically playing League since beta and season 1 I am finally discovering you cant tell people your going to report them because you'll get ban for it. Riot sent me a message and basically told me that I was perma banned for telling people that I am going to report them for toxicity. Discovered as well that you'll get banned if more people report you then the other basically telling me that League isn't actually about toxicity its about numbers on how many people reported you. Lets say if you go on a team of four people and there all friends and toxic and they basically don't like you for something you did or whatever. They actually have the power to get you banned if they all squad report you. Is this fair? Is this what League has come too? I guess so. Welcome to League of Legends! I am not making this post to flame Riot or anything I am just simply making this post as a heads up to help other players realize the best thing to do and what riot actually wants you to do is just stay quiet and report them. Typing anything or even responding basically gets you reported. What a report system! Lets give riot a round of applause for there failure report system that's even worse then tribunal!

So tip's on how to actually report.

1st: Stay quiet! 2nd: Don't put anything in the feed or chat! 3rd: Stay quiet! 4th: Don't mute them because that solves nothing! ( Then you wont have anything to report them on because no chat feed ) 5th : Don't piss off a group of people, especially if there all friend's!

That is all and you shouldn't have any problems

hopefully riot fixes this problem because it has ruined League of Legends!

League is a game where we can't communicate or we get banned for it but funny thing is you can also get banned for not communicating so go figure!

Guys this is the reality of your game this is what League has resorted too and its truly sad!

Goodluck summoners, out there on the rift and stay positive! [slayer-jinx-catface]

I recommend sharing the chat logs you were given in the Reform Card for this. Telling someone you will report them registers very low on the toxicity scale; the only way you'd get punished with even the lowest penalty (10 game chat restriction) for this is pretty much zero; this would have to be accompanied by a lot of other negative behavior and prior punishments.

If you're going to report someone, I recommend not antagonizing them by saying so. Just mute them (if necessary) and submit your report without stirring up additional drama or accusing them of anything.

Can you post the EXACT unedited response from Rito CS? I feel like we're missing the how many people reported you "over majority of your game" part. I could be wrong.

Regarding your tip, there is absolutely no reason whatsoever to notify the person you are going to report him because it accomplishes nothing. If anything, it will antagonize that person to troll even more. If I know I'm going to be reported anyway, I have nothing to lose right? I agree with you on that tip.

However, chat logs are saved on the server, not grabbed from your personal game log. There is absolutely no reason whatsoever to not mute the troll/toxic person because it will just triggered you to respond with your own toxic craps, which ultimately will result in your own punishment. I cannot agree with your tip #4.

As far as tip #5, the general rule of thumb is to not pissed off anyone. This is a team game. You depend on your other 4 teammates to win (despite how much you think you can solo carry). If you have a pissed off teammate, your chance of winning dropped significantly. Now I understand your tip #5 insinuates that pissing off a group of people (e.g. pre-made) will get you more reports on that game. However, report is a boolean flag. The only thing the IFS receives is likely ONLY a True or False flag, not the quantity of flags. 1 Flag is the same as 9 Flags (because 1 True flag makes the entire game True if you want to think of it as a chain of OR gates). If you advise to not piss off people in general, I agree. If you meant not pissing off pre-made in fear of multiple reports, it is a misconception of how the report system works.

You didn't get banned for that and you know it.

Feel free to post your chat logs, preferably in a non-editable manner, because we know people like you just love to make "helpful edits".

Exactly but even saying muted which btw I do almost asap still gets you banned as well! Trust me I stay silent and really when I say anything I just tell them straight up I am reporting them for toxicity and muting you... and that's what you can't do Riot basically told me. I never knew that so for that I got perma... I didn't know bully's actually have the power over you as player's and that's insane in my book. No game does this no company does this so it's truly unique in Leagues aspect. Hey but we all agree to there term's basically from the minute we enter there game so not like we can't blame are selves. Hey you learn something new everyday!

I don't really understand why some people feel the need to inform others that they plan on reporting them. What's the point? You're not going to suddenly calm them down, infact you may cause worse behavior instead!

Trust me this isn't to get unbanned or anything because it ain't gonna happen, it never does. This is just to simply help you guys out and to learn like I am. I am really just tryna save people's account's that don't deserve these punishment's either. If I can simply let people know to prevent it then I've done enough. Thanks and you all have a blessed good day. Stay positive!

Well I mean reports dont stack, so chances are you were a dick in other games as well.

Asking for reports: an analogy.

You want to watch channel 39. So, you walk up to your fancy (but not too fancy) tv, press the power button and manually change it to channel 39. Then, because you want to make sure you're watching channel 39 you go to your television remote and type in '39'. Then, because you want to make sure you're watching channel 39 you press the tv guide button and set it to channel 39. Then, because you want to make sure you're watching channel 39 you grab the universal remote and type in '39'. Then, because you want to make sure you're watching channel 39 you use the universal remote to go to the tv guide and turn it to channel 39. Then, because you want to make sure you're watching channel 39 you use the app on your phone to change the tv to channel 39. Then, because you want to make sure you're watching channel 39 you log in from your computer and change the channel to 39. Then, because you want to make sure you're watching channel 39 you call your cousin (who has your tv control app on his phone from when he visited) and ask him to change the channel to 39.

One report is the same as 9 reports, just like you only need to set the channel once on your tv.
