This is by no means going to be a paragraph on me begging for forgiveness for getting a 10 game chat restriction, but how the hell did I get one? I was playing yesterday and on the opposing team i had a kha player who was nagging his entire team in all chat, saying their feeding, calling them female dogs etc, calling me a whore, female dog etc. So I was looking forward to reporting him for toxicity. On my team I had a veigar who was extremely toxic as well, he was telling everyone in all chat to report me for racism when I said riven was afk and then started popping comments about me being a child who had her "daddy beat and raped her". If that isn't toxic then I don't know what the hell is because that's messed up, you don't joke about shit like that. So i was going to report him too. ALL i typed in chat was for them to "shut up and play the game, focus on winning because we can win this" and I get a chat restriction? Today when I woke up and logged in, i didn't see the player has been punished notification when you report them, but I'm the one with a restriction? You're f****** kidding me right? Riot learn how to deal with players because this is just absolutely stupid. I did nothing wrong, me telling someone to focus on the game is bad? Oh sorry, me telling them to shut up is? You can read the shut up part when I didn't mean it in a negative way at all but you don't read them saying I'm autistic, racist, beat and raped. Like what the hell is this? Fix this problem I'm sick of this game honestly.

You rarely get it because you have to be the one that triggers the ban to get it.

So, those players are shitty and deserve a ban.

You, on the other hand, are responsible for your own chat. If you post your chat logs, we'll be able to tell you what triggered your own restriction.

This isn't a court system where "He is worst than me, so he should get punished". The system looks at your behavioral history and will deal a punishment when you pass a certain % of games where you were validly reported.

You are judged by your own behavioral history, they are judged by theirs. So your punishment has got nothing to do with them, and their punishment has got nothing to do with you.
