Today I got banned for being called a Ni****

Below I copy-pasted my support ticket i submitted after it happened because it pretty much sums up the event. Please upvote this so Riot can see this messed up situation. Lux was also being toxic and saying how she wanted us to lose the game.

Hey guys, I am an African American male who got wrongfully banned. I was recently referred to as a "niggo" in champion select, and understandingly it really titled me. I wanted to flame the crap out of our mid laner who called me that and banned my champ, but i restrained myself(I did lose a lot of hope in winning the game because we were way down and they were in our base, but the whole team had lost faith and certainly this is not permabannable especially considering the circumstances). I asked the other team to report her for calling me a "%%%%%%" (I typed the word out so they could understand the severity of the issue). I assume this is why I ended up getting permabanned. my username is "jakobe1996", ign "crown TSM". ******** is the player who called me a "niggo". If you have capability of checking chat logs in champ select, you are easily able to tell. I have been temp banned before, and I have reallly been focusing on being less toxic since then. If i lose my account for this I have to imagine that not only is it messed up in the fact I was the victim(clearly shown by the chat logs) but it will also be a real disappointment to me because I love the game. Please try to get this resolved ASAP so I can get back on the rift.

EDIT: Thank you all for the support. I really hope Riot speaks up on this soon. I realize now that some of my actions were breaking rules, and I want to clarify I was unaware. I know how to avoid that now in the future. I still strongly stand behind the fact I did nothing permaban worthy though.

Update:. The issue has been resolved per riot. I appreciate the understanding but I need to clarify something because some people seem to be confused. Lux never said the n word. The only place I imply she does is the title because she used a variation of the word in the same context you would use the actual word aggressively, so I thought it was fair, if you disagree, I apologize but we will have to agree to disagree. Lux used the term "n*ggo". Despite riots somewhat misguiding words(I still thank them for help and respect their understanding), I did not lie in this post. With this clarification I rest my case. If you have any concerns feel free to add me in game.

Well, good morning.

  1. You didn't get banned because of what someone else called you. You got banned for bringing your argument and frustration with the Lux to ALL chat and using racial slurs. Riot takes hate speech very seriously.

  2. You penalty was also escalated because you were recently off a 14-day ban.

  3. In the future, don't ask other people to submit reports. There is no advantage. Simply report them yourself, and they will be held accountable for their behavior. There is no reason to bring yourself into the crossfire.

  4. I am going to remove this ban. The Lux was clearly trolling, and trying to get a reaction out of you. But seriously, don't bring drama into all chat.

  5. In your next game, consider playing Aatrox. Seriously, that guy needs love.

This chat logs better not be edited. Cz I've seen threads like this where you seem kind & innocent and it got 80+ upvotes to show support, until Riot Tantram comes in with a big summoner 11 .

The system often blames the victim and IGNORES ALL CONTEXT till your chat makes literally no sense. The toxic players DO get punished contrary to popular belief, but so do many innocent players (which support will never admit). We're all responsible for our chat but that chat is meaningless without context because we're talking to people, not walls. It's basically engineered to make you look bad by removing all relevant information and making it seem like a rambling monologue. If an old lady screamed "Thief!" after she got mugged, the system would punish her as well as the thief (there are some justifications for this but this was just to illustrate the point). If it's a storm and you say that it's bad weather, you're labelled toxic. There are some really absurd notions that people subscribe to on here. Just because it's Riot's stance, doesn't make it any less ridiculous. You're basically not allowed to express anything someone else may not want to hear. True or not, respectful or not - it doesn't matter. On these boards, if a doctor labelled a patient obese, he'd probably get a chat restriction.

''Plz report lux'' <-- This, I'm sorry to inform you but it's why you were penalized, Calling out other players by saying report X person is considered an offense by the system, I didn't know about this either until I was penalized and then I asked the community at boards, They told me it's the reason why I was penalized, But seriously, This chat log is nowhere near worth banning an account.

Isn't asking other people to report someone not allowed? Though I am not saying you should've gotten banned for just asking others to report.

But I do want to say there is no context to this at all. Heck the person who called you "niggo" could've been Black for what we, the readers, know since you didn't really go into detail. Also we really don't know what you said or did during the match. It seems like you are selecting info that makes you look like the victim.

Also what is the point of posting this on the boards? Just be patient and wait for a response from the ticket. It might take a while since they do go through many tickets every day while having automated responses that will respond to simpler cases before a human employee is able to manually review it. Posting this stuff on the boards just seems like you are trying to create a mob that pressures a response instead of letting Riot support do their job.
