Remake Punishing and Crashing Clients
tilted rage incoming
So I jump on to league today, trying to climb the ranked ladder as the seasons end is just around the corner. Starting up a game, team looks good, when BAM, client crashes. While reconnecting, the game shuts down, informing me there was no longer a game to connect to. This confused me at first, as I've never been on the receiving end of a remake. Lo and behold, I receive negative points equal to a loss. What The fuck
Whatever, queue up for game two, I'll just remake the lost LP. This time, cleint DC's but doesn't tell me, realize and try to join the game again, game get's remade just as I hit 100% load about to enter the game. Lost LP again.
Seriously, what the fuck Rito.
Now, I'll be honest, my pc isn't the best. It's a bit slow to initialize league, but once I get into the game it runs with no problem. I get the practice of punishing leavers or people who don't connect, but many times the issue is with the client itself, punishing players for using the only available avenue to play league. Further, it doesn't well account for a myriad of complications in the real world that might affect someone from connecting to the game, and punishing them for it to this extent just seems a bit extreme. This is doubly frustrating when you have a busy schedule and can't fit in a lot of time for league, as making up the lost points becomes precious lost time.
Possible alternatives(?): If someone doesn't connect, why not stall the game and hold the team at their fountains until 2 min, where you can remake? That way with late starts the game will be on an equal footing. This way, you could monitor someone in the process of connecting if they connect later, still getting the game off on equal footing, and not screwing people over for IRL circumstances they can't control.
TL;DR Client crashes and steals my LP
