Players using Ping and Character Emotes to bypass ignore feature

Hello,

Please do something to prevent the bypassing of ignore/block feature from players

There is no reason a character would need to emote multiple times per second, there should be a cooldown. Also, the sounds for these emotes should be able to be disabled (similar to turning off character voices)

Pings should be able to be ignored in the same way as messages. If you think that they're required for a game to play properly, they're not. How often does someone who is being abusive, racist or trolling during a game simultaneously properly using the ping feature?

I very frequently encounter these behaviors during games.

Thank you.

I wonder if it's client-side, because when I mute someone, I can't hear their emotes either (except for certain sounds like the rusty joints when Blitz laughs. Would like that to be muted as well).

As for pings, I have my ping volume at 0 purely because people spam it. You can still see them on the map, but the noise won't drive you nuts.

I'd even be happy with a cooldown of a few seconds... I think the speed people can spam ping / voice emotes is the only reason they bother.

As for reporting... I can't even get people to report others for overt racism and verbal abuse without being called a "baby" or told off myself.. I wouldn't even want to see what happens if I suggest that. As far as I know, one report isn't enough to do anything.

One report is all that is needed. In fact, asking others to report someone can actually be enough to get your account in trouble as that's considered harassment.

In short, don't ask others to report people, just report them yourself and move on to the next game.

There is no reason for you to get others to report people. Your report is enough to get the game flagged for a review.

Additionally, asking for reports can be considered harassment and so it would be best to avoid doing it anyways. Just report.

By the way, is this your wallet?

I don't know what you mean by is this my wallet.

And I'm pretty sure there is no such thing as a "review", they've even removed the tribunal. As far as I know they switched over to an automated system a long time ago which wouldn't take into account pings and emotes as it wouldn't be able to tell if they're legitimate or not.

As I mentioned in another reply I don't even bother speaking in games anymore. There's almost never anything positive going on so I just pretend I'm playing a single player game... Going back to the few times I mentioned reporting in a game, I'm not too concerned about what happened in the past considering people seem to get away with a lot worse.

The key words here are "As far as I know".

The system is built in such a way that many if not most toxicity can be determined automatically, yes. As a matter of fact, i'm pretty sure ping spamming is one of those things. It remains true, however, that an account that gets reported often enough will be reviewed by a human being if the automated system cannot detect anything but the weight of reports suggests something is suspicious.

As far as pings are concerned, i'm fairly sure they are capable of detecting this automatically and so if they do it a few times, and people report them, they will get punished. We've seen people come here who had been banned for ping spamming.

With respect to the wallet, the best explanation I can give is that my sense of humor is about as good as my Yasuo. Does that clear things up?

I agree there is no way to block pings in the past if players don't follow the same standard meta and ping setup I do then they are "GRIEFING" or "TROLLING" in my view and I would love a way to block it, pings are great, but when players use them improperly on purpose it is an issue, and then I have to turn off my entire sound let alone if players are trolling and I have to /mute all too..

Honeslty in Solo Queue, who usually communicate anyways perhaps in Plat and above maybe.

I don't know anything about your games, but I'd wager a slice of cat vomit flavored cake that you are telling people you are muting them.

An asshole who is trying to bother you will, if you let them know they can't use chat to bother you anymore, be more likely to use other methods to try and bother you.

Just quietly mute them and if they spam ping you, report them after the game.

Sorry you have to go through this.

(PS. you owe me a slice of cake)

Nope, stopped doing that years ago. The game I had earlier I didn't even speak all game. Sorry about the cake :/

M'eh... that's ok. To tell you the truth I think cat vomit is very hard to digest anyways.

Please don't tell my wife I said that though.
