Warning Players Could Solve Disputes.
A lot of talk has been going around lately about people getting permanently banned from their League of Legends Accounts. Some deserve it some do not. My story is a lot like others I've read recently on this forum. I was permanently banned for using third party software however to my knowledge I've never done such things. Most people are getting picked off for having MKLOL at one point others are being discovered as BOL users from a recent link and then there's the ones like me who are being wrongfully accused.. Regardless of any of this I think Riot could avoid a lot of upset individuals if they approached this differently.
Often times people know they are doing wrong and do it anyways, however if told they have been found out they will most likely reform. If not then they deserve to go. If Riot warned scripters/hackers they'd been found out and told them to stop and uninstall 3rd party programs immediately then most would and they would never look back for fear of losing their accounts. The defiant ones could suffer the ultimate consequence. Even in my position where I have no idea why I was banned, had I been warned and told what program I was suspected of I would have immediately gone searching to uninstall. Instead Riot handles this with the bully mentality of having more power and not wanting to compromise. I, on my main account (which is the perma banned one), had spent close to $1000 with no intention of stopping and now riot has lost that. Maybe that doesn't matter to them but bans add up.
I've read a few things here and there where the individuals banned for having MKLOL were warned to remove the program and that is where my idea originated. Even after removing the program they were still banned. How is that fair to them? Riot considers its TERMS OF USE to be warning enough I'm sure seeing as they have refereed me to it multiple times in emails but if people knew they were being looked at individually then their third party programs would likely stop.
