Riot is losing players, and it doesnt seem to care.

I really dont get why riot does not punish players more often. Today, and on many occasions, I play a game, and one of the players rages and then decides to give up. In this case in particular, my adc at 8 mins gets killed by the jung and is at 3/2. He then says "k im done, have fun" and proceeds to just farm in lane and then go afk and "look at snapchat". This is all in chat yet he wont get punished. Even when I have flamed on occasion, I never got any recourse, infact I got honor and an upgrade in my logo. They need to be more like Dota and have low priority que hell for people that ruin ranked games for others. I wont be playing league anymore. I cant waste an hour each time to have it ruined by one person on the team because they dont feel like continuing when they dont steamroll.

Based on what data? I mean I'm sure they lose players on a daily basis but do they gain more? How do you know?

Sorry you had that experience. Maybe try playing with some friends? That's the quick solution to this.

But really, it sounds like if that player went afk, he's gonna get punished. I mean, he got tilted at that k/d, what do you think is gonna happen when he actually has a bad game?

I don't think that they "don't care" as I feel like they've made improvements to the game at the benefit of players, like the loot system and rotating game modes, for example.

Because economically player retention is less cost intensive than new player creation, and Riot is going to subsist on whales it already has.

Why do you think ban evasion is so easy? Bans are a formality. Riot is banking on pre-existing players, if they do get banned, to come back to the game and start at the level 1 grind all over again.

got 14days ban because wrote 2 indecent words. was honored for eveything in s7.

and

getting LEAVERS and AFKers in PLATINUM ranked. even TROLLES are usuall in PLATINUM. nice system.
