🔒 Account randomly permabanned and no riot email?

So my account is permanently banned. I have not have any previous restrictions and have not gotten any warnings about any sort of rule breaking, yet my account was banned right out of the blue? I think this has to do with the server being shut down temporarily just earlier, being as that i was just in a game right when the server shut down. I also did not recieve any email from riot about this. Its been 5 hours since the shutdown was lifted, no email from riot. I also have sent support an email about this and not recieved any response. Its been 5 hours, no response. This is ridiculous.

Riot is a large company with a massive player base. Give them a week tops to respond, and then try something else if that doesn't work. 5 Hours is quite the small gap to be this concerned. If it was an accident expect it to be resolved soon. Good luck mate.

It's certainly not impossible that the system failed to send you anything - but it's pretty unlikely. Most often, in situations like this, it's lost somewhere by the player.

It's pretty common for Riot's automated emails regarding bans to be dropped into junk/spam folders, so if you haven't checked there, I'd recommend you do so.

I've also seen situations where the player in question had changed their associated email address, but forgotten about it - so they were checking the wrong address entirely. To make sure this isn't the case, you might check your account status here and verify what email is associated.

If it's neither of those, make sure you mention in your support ticket (NOTE: if you've already sent one, don't edit it for this! Just add it to the next response you send, or you'll just be adding to the response time on the ticket!) that you lost the email, and ask them to resend it. They're pretty cool about it, overall, since sometimes emails just get lost.

Accidents happen. Keep that in mind. Honestly, until you find out why, I wouldn't take it so personal. Just calm down, wait for your ticket to be seen, and then discuss it with them. A hefty patch just went through, they are pretty busy.

I just got randomly perma'd as well. I did get an email SAYING I as getting perma'd, but nothing telling me why. And much like yourself, I've been waiting for a response for about 10'ish hours. I've played about 7 games This year so far, I'm pretty confused lol. I'm pretty much done with Riot at this point. My first account got banned for scripting, and now my secondary is banned for I don't even know what.

They need to add a different notification for when your account is LOCKED rather than actually banned. If you didn't receive an email and there isn't a specific reason when you try to log in then you can bet your account isn't actually banned but locked due to a security concern or an operation in progress on the account. Usually the lock for operation only lasts a few minutes (I had some work done on mine back in about 2010) but if they have a reason to believe your account has been compromised or somebody is trying to break in or change your password repeatedly they will lock the account and wait for you send them a support ticket.

Be patient with the ticket, would you rather they left your account in the open to be stolen or who knows what? Or have it temporarily locked while you figure out what is going on?

hey man i just wanted to let you know its fucking frustrating, so damn frustrating when they dont respond. i changed my password got inebriated and forgot it 3 hours later, didnt hear back for a week, but once i did they were extremely helpful and replied to each email within a few hours. i know you're pissed man, god i would be too, but you'll hear back. unfortunately, no amount of complaining on the forums will help (i wish). But i wish you the best of luck, mate. might i suggest taking up a hobby? i think by the time riot gets back to you you could learn how to play the piano...and master woodworking...also start a small business and run it into the ground in that time =P stay positive mate!

I also got the same thing today, out of blue sky...like I never wrote anything so bad or threatinening that deserves any kind of bans, but today I got it and no EMAIL at all explaining why!! I am trying to get an answer wrote couple of tickets already...

Wait on the ticket. First round will be an automated response -- you were probably caught in the scripting/3rd party ban wave.

Respond to the auto-post, and that'll reopen your ticket and put it back into the queue, so it should get you transferred to something less automated.

Once it's a person on the ticket, you just wait and hope; even if it is a false positive, when they can't divulge any info it's pretty much impossible to actually discern anything, so you can really only hope that further case investigation reveals something new.

I would get ready to level a new account (or find a new game), because false positives are rare enough (and most people assume there are none, so it's not bad PR, although zero false positives in a system that large is completely implausible) that there's not TOO much incentive to fix them in a thorough fashion.

Also of note is that account sharing's a bannable offense, so you might want to think back and make sure you didn't do anything like that.
