Playing "Off-Meta" punishable ? ( Bard Jungle )

I thought to myself it would be neat to Play Bard in the Jungle. You can safely farm chimes without leaving a lane, and with some build up attack speed he hits really hard after Little while. His ganks are rather potent, especially Level 6 onwards...While i am actually enjoying the hero very much, i am confronted with loads of shit from my teammates. I am not even playing him in ranked, i just played 3 normals for now to see how it goes. In None of them i fed, trolled, inted, griefed or however you call this nowadays. As soon as i confront too much salt from mates who think i am trolling, i just mute them and continue to Play. I don't want to trigger People or anything, i just wanted to try a "off-meta" champ in the jungle, which even works really well.... However, my teammates often threaten Reports immediately, thinking i do nothing but trolling. As soon as they get ganked once by the enemy, it's my fault immediately eventhough they prolly wouldn't have said anything would i have played Shyvana or the likes... Summed up.... Is it punishable to just Play a Champion in a role that he is not ment to despite actually trying and playing normally ? I Need to know, as i would really like to test him but do not want to get penalized. Thank you for your answers fellow summoners, see you on the rift ! Edit: I won all 3 games i played him

You will be fine as long as you don't intentionally feed or flame teammates. Have fun your way, as long as it doesn't directly affect teammates. My friend, the "Im so off meta, i can't find my way back" kind of player, plays things way more insane than bard jungle, and hasn't been banned yet.

you wont get in trouble for playing off-meta but you will get a lot of reports and rage directed your way.

and as you noticed if anything goes wrong in the game it will all be your fault.

Plays AP MF on ARAM Entire team blames me for losing Enemy team is comprised of every tank imaginable, including a Sion. Meanwhile I do more damage than anyone on the team running triple pen.

Don't feel bad for playing off meta. Sometimes you'll discover a great playstyle for a champ you love and it allows for a new dimension of gameplay. People who report this sort of thing are people who take this game way too seriously.

how bout in every lobby tht you enter you say this " hey guys i'm gonna do this dumb thing that doesn't work but if you ugys are not ok with it i can dodge or pick a diferent champ it's totaly fine."

You **most likely ** will not get punished for simply going off-meta, but it doesn't prevent you from getting reported.

Therefore, if and when you do get reported when you're actually trash-talking, all those previous reports will have flagged your account and it will only take you 1 game to get zinged.

Riot does manual reviews if they see an abnormal amount of reports towards you that you didn't have before, with things that you usually wouldn't do either.

You could win mostly all your games and have a positive KDA, but then you went off-meta and mostly went negative because you were trying things out, if enough people report you, Riot will look at your account and wonder 'wtf' is going on. If they check in your games and they see you've actually been trying, they wouldn't punish you, or do anything really against you, since you are indeed not breaking any kind of Summoner's Code/ToS rules.

It's fine in normals , but in ranked (if you're above bronze 5 ) you'll prob get counterjungled all day and make the game 4v5.

If enough people bitch you will get banned....there is plenty of evidence of that happening in lol.

So far, i played it a few times more, and i tried being nice in champ select allready in all them Games. Told em it's gonna take a while, i will most likely get invaded but i still try and whatnot... Let's say, it works in Games where the laners don't loose and they Keep hating once they get ganked once by the enemy. It's a Roulette. Considering the average age of Players, i tried playing during the night. No complaints there. So this is my solution. Just Play when Kids are in bed.[vlad-salute]

It's very much not punishable.

The only rule is you go to the lane you queued for. Your champion pick can be anything.
