Quick question for anyone who knows the rules.

I've been trolled the last three games I've played, by people who choose support, so they can find a game quickly, but then go on to pick a champion that has no support abilities at all. Also had someone go support, but took smite instead, and jungled. This is in Silver 3 elo, ranked play, fyi.

Is this against the rules? To pick support, and just jungle on your own? Or go support and play nasus?(Last game) Is it against the rules to pick any role at all, and do what you want, like jungle?

If they queued up as support to bypass the wait and then switched to, say, Kha Jungle and took smite, then you could report it after the game as "Unsportsmanlike Conduct". However, you'll need to specific in the description that "X player queued as support but forced jungle out of their role in order to bypass wait times". Extra points if the player admits in the chat "I queued as support so I could skip the wait time", which you would need to mention in the report as well.

If none of that happened, or at least a trade was enacted (people can trade roles if they want to), then it's not reportable. Off-meta picks are not reportable either. All it depends on is their intent.

A support picking Nasus can still be viable, but a "support" picking Nasus, taking smite, and staying in the jungle forcing the original jungle out of their position is not viable and can be reported.

Will it be immediately punished? No.

But it can flag their account for review, and if they continue this behavior it can get them punished.

Again, what matters is the intent of the player, so it's best to try and be descriptive as possible when you file that report.

There is nothing against the rules of picking an "off meta" champion. You can basically use any champion to support. Hell Nasus could be a great support since he has a slow and an aoe damaging spell. If he goes relic shield first and Q when he can execute he could get his Q stacked, granted not by that much.

But again choosing a champion that isn't a suppprt in the support role alone isn't a reportable offense. Now that Jungler might be breaking the rules if he basically "stole" that role from someone. Granted again though taking smite might not be a bad thing since he could help push lanes/slow an enemy for a free kill/Jungle buffs.

So, it basically went like this.

#1 game - Had a guy go support, and they banned his champion, so he took master yi, smite, and went into the jungle without saying a word, but later saying that duo jungle works. lol

#2 game - Had this other guy go support, steal my cs, and ended up feeding really hard. But point was, he went Garen support, and then stole my cs. How is this either (A) Not punishable (B) Fair to everyone involved?

#3 game - Had a nasus support. His first item I believe was black cleaver. He built relic shield, but it was later in the game. He just stole my cs, died a lot for tower diving, and then tried to farm his q while our base got destroyed. Never warded the entire 33 mins we played.

So, if this isn't illegal, and you can play whoever you want, wherever you want. I guess i'm going to start either playing jungle, or playing jungle. I mean, technically I'm not stealing his role, i'm sharing it. I can roam and jungle as a adc if I want, right? As long as I'm trying to win the game?

All three of those instances would be unsportsmanlike conduct and can be reported and probably will be punished eventually if they keep it up.

Like others have said, off meta support isn't by itself punishable. But based on what you're describing then I would vote yes, they are breaking rules.

the meta - 1 top 1 mid 1 jg, adc and support bot is not the rules. it is just something players came up with that works really well.

riot doesnt like to force people to play the meta but its complicated. ive won games with 2 top 2 mid even 2 jg. you just have to be able to be flexible and adjust to the game.

Playing any champion anywhere you want is always your choice, that isn't against the rules. Stealing a role after you were assigned a different one is (last I remembered).

So, i'm back. After ALOT of playing, and a lot more disappointment. I have my proof(through words only of course, because i'm not bored enough to make records).

I have played exactly 50 games over 10 days. The following are the recorded offenses I experienced and reported during those 50 games.

AFK's = 19(Most of game) , 13(AFK that I seen myself, for at least 1 min, but not exceeding 5.) Toxic = 71(I knew it was bad, just didn't realize how bad. Wow.) This is only threats, and insults. Cussing. Non-abuse Toxic(grieving, feeding INT) = 43 No smite in jungle = 3(2 really, because I grabbed it at the last second, and jungled myself the last time It happened)

Just added the no smite because I though it was super funny. 3/50 games the jungle in silver/gold elo forgets smite. Haha.

Anyways, I refuse to play anymore league at all, until the new season comes. Even then, if they haven't done anything about this bs, i'm probably ending my "career". Not to draw attention or anything. It's just disgusting, to leave my rank and hardwork in the hands of four random people, who more often than not, are bad people, as far as in-game ethics and sportsmanship go. I just can't support a game like that. This is coming from a man, who works everyday of his life for that money, about a grand over the last year, which was spent on this game. ALOT toward the 2016 prize pool.

Did the Nasus start relic shield? If not then I feel you. If he did then you should take some time to look into what he can do. A spirit fire + wither is a free kill unless your can accurately be described as 'log'
