So recently I have been given a chat restriction based on reports of "overwhelmingly negative behavior" from a single game. If you read through all of the text (im sure few of the people who read this will actually do so) you'll probably see some bad language and rather childish behavior, but this certainly cannot be considered "overwhelmingly negative", especially when put into the context of the other chat in that game. I'm not trying to make a "they started first so im clean of guilt" argument, I'm just pointing out the fact that this kind of communication is certainly undeserving of thee 7-8 reports i got based on my comms. So, the real reason i was reported was simply because of the fact that the people who had been harassing me that entire game simply thought it would be funny to report me, and they probably laughed when they found out there spam reports had effectively punished the person they had been trash talking for that entire game. I think calling it a lynch mob is a bit extreme, and i dont really mind the actual 10 game chat restriction by itself, but i will not stand for the fact that i was punished at the whim of a mobocracy and not by any logical source of justice. I would really appreciate it if the remaining 6 games be devoid of chat restriction, if only so i can know that justice exists somewhere in this game

That f-bomb you drop doesn't help your case. I get you had a bad game with your smite jhin, but mall you did was make things worse. 'Make the best of a bad situation' and all.

Do you honestly believe any of the other players in that game are going to get punished despite having dropped the f-bomb themselves? Of course they won't, because they weren't the ones who the mob didn't like; they WERE the mob. My using smite jhin isnt the only context that matters here.

Says who? If they are breaking the rules as well and people are reporting them then they will get punished. Just because they didn't get punished with you doesn't mean they didn't get punished say their next game or in the future. Everyone has a certain amount of time before it finally gets to them when they break the rules.

That statement is literally all speculation, and if you're saying that repeated offenses are what should receive punishment, then this game certainly goes against that belief as I was only punished because of a few sadists who think harassing other people is funny felt like that would be a perfect way to end the game. That doesn't seem very fair at all.

They'll get punished when enough legit reports hit them. And yes it does need to be a repeated offense. They were given enough leeway just as you were given. I hope you realize just because they only showed you one game (or you only showed us one of your games chatlogs) doesn't mean that is what caused you to get ban. You were probably reported in numerous games and this was the final straw for this offense.

If the people in your game continued to be toxic they will get punished because (I would assume) when they do break the rules people will report them. Riot realizes that people have bad games and slips up hence why you usually aren't punished just for one bad game. This didn't take into account very harsh toxic behavior like homophobic, racist slurs. Which could result in a permaban.

Wow i actually didn't know about a lot of this stuff. I rarely talk in a lot of the games I play so i was just wondering what kind of time period the reports are counted over. Is it based on reports from any game you've ever played, or on the frequency of said reports?
