Another player who feels like the company doesnt care about its gaming community.

A product thats out 5 years and still not polished in removing and punishing players who are gross. I mean if i have to report a player every game doesn't that say that the system isnt good enough? Having players that say this game doesnt ban and they can act how they want. Do you not get that this game maybe is at its peak and will be declining to a moba that fixes these issues and slams on bad player behavior to bring back the fun of a game?

And how would you go about resolving this issue? Banning every single person you report? It's easy to state the problem; it's a lot harder to come up with the solution.

tldr: toxicity at an all time low, visibility of the behavioral system even lower. Riot working on new features soon™.

So this is what we know as PB&M, according to Riot:

  • Toxicity is actually at an all time low

We really aren't seeing that many more games with toxicity. It might be higher in specific ELOs such as low bronze, Plat, low diamond, cos their egos in those ELOs are super duper high, but overall we are rarely seeing toxicity. If I looked back into my past 20 games, I probably saw toxicity in .. 3 games or so?

The rare occasion we do see toxicity, it gets ingrained in our brain, due to how devastating it was.

So we report these players, hoping for to get them punished. But since toxicity is low, it will take more games for people to get punished, so alot of the times, the behavioral system builds a case against those toxics.

Due to how the system was coded previously, we only saw the punishment notification if someone got punished on that specific game we reported them in, and won't see the notification when it is building a case towards others.

This brings to the point where people think the system is not working, cos they rarely see the punishment notification. From that, alot of people think they can do whatever they want and not get punished. The absence of the tribunal also doesn't help to make people feel that the system isn't working, thus:

  • The behavioral system's visibility is also at an all time low.

That being said, there are alot of false reports going on.

People report constructive criticism as toxicity / harassment. Feeding due to having a better opponent constantly being reported as intentional feeding. Plays that one doesn't agree with or flashing their mastery lvl 6 being reported as grieving / unsportsmanlike conduct.

Just because you send out alot of reports, doesn't mean all of them are valid. By valid, the system requires a large percentage of the player base reporting the same issue. If you send alot of false reports, your report weight drops and eventually the system ignores your reports.

I don't know which category you fall in, but those could all be reasons why you aren't seeing the punishment notifications.

That being said, Riot is working on new behavioral features, but they won't be ready until the new client is running in a stable manner. Which will probably be when Riot deems the beta release to be over.

Have you played Overwatch? Because that place is a toxic cesspool and Blizzard won't ban players for toxicity. If you spend any time on the PB&M then you'd know that Riot punishes people semi frequently because of toxicity. This is a problem with gamers in general, not just Riot or Blizzard or HiRez.

Do people not understand toxicty is everywhere, and Rito is doing almost everything they can to stop it, if you have any suggestions i would love to hear them
