Toxic League Community

Anyway, I'm in a Game Dev. department and was curious if any of my friends played LoL. So I asked around, and surprisingly enough most of em avoids playing league. Only 2 people said that they play the game. Most of the people I asked told me they used to play league from season 3-5 and they said the reason why they stopped playing was because the community has gone really bad...so they switched playing to overwatch ( ) where it's more focused on the combat than shit talking your teammate... or enemy. After playing around my original account(which was then a Silver 3) I noticed, even the nicest players around turns sour. The community in game and outside (YT or FB comment sections for example) are really toxic. I mean, you guys noticed that by now right? At least one person will diss, and unless you're with a mature teammate, it often leads to chat-wars XD

I got sick of that, honestly. So I wanted to check if the people from lower level are as toxic, hence, this new account that I made. Surprisingly enough, most of the beginners are really friendly. They ask, they apologize and they're actually communicating with their teammates in a positive manner. After I reached level 4, I started to get qued up with smurfs. And you can tell. Oh believe me, cause they'all toxic, bitter, and just spiteful players. Some smurfs plays a game so they can troll a low level game, some shit talks those new players, some are just really sad players who wants to rub-off that they're superior than the new players. I tried telling them that it is not to be expected that they're good in this game when they're only level 4, buttt I ended up getting cussed XD

I hope this doesn't sound whiny, to whomever is reading this right now. Not my intention to complain or be butt-hurt about the harsh community. I've been playing league since season 2, I may not be as professional as the others, but this game has grown in me, that's why I've always supported the game. But! The community is open to change, it's not stagnant, but it's just gotten to the point that the community is changing for the worst. And it is very tempting to leave it and move-on to a different game. I am also aware of the efforts that Riot has been putting, in order to prevent any more of these toxic players from freely dragging the other players down. I just don't know how effective it is. At the end of the day, it still depends on the player.

I wanted to make this post in an attempt to help people realize how much their attitude is affecting the game. It's really slowly pushing gamers out of the community and search for something lesss.. negative. I mean, real life itself is stressful and annoying, why would anyone want to go online and get called names and cuss words? As for me, I try to mute all of those who just really wanna be annoyingly negative.

Nvm I still haven't found my core message XD
