I would like to know the actual reason I got banned

I wanna start this by saying I've never been suspended before, I've gotten a few chat restrictions in the past, but nothing serious.

I am pretty toxic in chat, I believe everyone is to some degree, it's an emotionally 'painful' game to play when you're spamming ranked all day and night like me because I have no life. However, I've never intentionally fed or trolled people in my games. I always thought if I was punished it would be a larger chat restriction than my last one over a year ago, or at least a 24 hour - 1 week ban. Instead my first real punishment just now was a 14 day ban.

Well I wanted to know what the real reason I got banned was. I KNOW the stuff in the chat logs is bad and warrants a deserved punishment ("ill point out how bad u are to make sure u know" is something I knew was dumb to say as I was typing it.) but I still feel like this alone wouldn't justify a 14 day ban.

As a Rioter said to someone in a similar post: "The reform card isn't indicative of the actual behavior. You were intentionally feeding as Nunu by running it down bot and then AFKed." - Well I never intentionally fed, so if there's perhaps any more serious things I've typed in the past, I'd appreciate a Rioter to come tell me what I did wrong. I'm sorry regardless, in future I'll just mute everyone and play the game.

To the players out there I have 2 questions:

Do you think my chat logs justify this 14 hour suspension?

and

Do you think being toxic in chat should punish people with suspensions or just chat restrictions? (Leave suspensions to people who int/troll/negatively infact someone's experience outside of chat)

Thanks.

For clarity, I presume you mean 14 day ban and not hour.

If you have received a 25 game chat restriction recently, your next punishment would be a 14 day ban, yes.

You answered your own question in your first sentence:

i mean a 2 week ban isnt anything serious man, just take a break and become woke. i got banned for 2 weeks and honestly its not that bad. Unless you literally have no games then you're pretty fucked.

Hmm, this is a bit unusual. Since your last chat restriction was that long ago, and you haven't been punished again since that time, it would seem that you had shown some improvement since it was issued, enough to keep you from being immediately escalated to the next tier (14 day suspension). And these logs do seem rather mild for a 14 day suspension. Is this the only game that was given? You might want to consider submitting a ticket to Player Support and asking them why your account was escalated to a 14 day suspension. It is possible that if your account was simply regularly reported, but never severe enough to issue a punishment, that it kept you from decaying in punishment tier, but that seems a bit unlikely over a year's time for the 25 game chat restriction to 14 day suspension level. Support would be the only ones who could give you that kind of information though.

As to whether toxicity should be limited to chat restrictions... not so much. Riot actually tried a program once before where it simply stacked chat restrictions, and some players were racking up thousands of games worth of restricted chat. They ended up resorting to inting and trolling when they weren't able to verbally abuse their teammates. So, if you put in a program where players know that they can say anything with zero fears of permanent repercussions, and you just give them more chat restrictions, there's nothing to stop them from doing exactly like the other players did... and resorting to more disruptive ways of ruining matches. It was bad enough that Riot had to shut the program down pretty quickly.
