Banned For Intentionally Feeding

Hi everyone,

I dont usually use the forums but Ive decided to give it a try! Earlier this morning I was playing a normal game with my college roommates, I was playing Quinn top against a Cho'Gath, and lets say things didnt end up too well :(. In around 43 minutes of play I went 1/17/4 and was banned for int feeding. If you look up my match history you will notice I had a decent build as well as pretty high farm. I also contritbuted to our team by taking a tower and two inhibitors, keep in mind this is with the position I was in. If you look at my prior match history you can see that I am not a feeder, I dont promote feeding and Ive played pretty consistently through out. The fact Ive been punished for one bad game late at night kind of feels unjusitified, that being said what do you all think of my chances that I can have my 14 day ban overturned?

It look like at about 37 min in you have several different types of boots bought all at once. Before that you had a full duskblade and a full ghostblade, both of which you sold to buy a bunch of different boots.

Which, along with the score, is likely what flipped the system.

Yes I actually remember that vividly, you see I went to use the restroom and asked one of my roommates to take over for me (he plays with us as well but likes to mess with me). He had sold my items and bought boots, to which I had to resell in order to buy the items I ended with, as you can tell however my farm was substantial even provided with the fact my score was as it was. If I was truly attempting an int feed I would have kept those boots but alas I did not. That does seem like something that could trigger the system, but would you call it justified?

I mean, I just gave a reason why I think the system flagged you.

I imagine that Riot is not going to like it very much that your excuse was that your roommate was playing. But even despite that, I would say you have a reasonable argument to present to Riot so long as you didn't die with multiple boots on and wasn't mindlessly running into the lane to die (roommate playing or otherwise). Send a ticket to support, give them the full details and ask for leniency.

So your excuse for griefing is account sharing? The excuse you gave might give you a permanent ban, since account sharing is also not allowed

but if he lives with the person it shouldnt matter....me for example..me and my husband play LOL. when we move in together we might do the same thing..if you have a friend or family member or someone you love LIVING in the house with you. it shouldnt matter if they use your account or not.

(natrually only with your permission of course...)

Let's be reasonable. Letting your roommate take over for a second while you prevent your bladder from exploding is hardly account sharing.

The OP is responsible for whatever his roommate does during in the match, true, but I doubt it's something that Riot would pursue as account sharing.

This is not account sharing. In season 4, I remember watching Bjergsen on a livestream. He had to use the bathroom and was gone for the first few minutes. Lustboy (the support for TSM) played for him for the first few minutes

No worries there already did. Once I saw what he did I had to sell the boots in order to muster up whatever items I could at that point. I've seen people feed worse in less amount of time, so I hope riot sees the circumstances and decides to lift this unfortunate ban. Im glad that the system did its job and caught out something that seemed suspicious, but at the same time it is important to point out that it can get things wrong at times as well. The systems judgement is not an accurate representation of the game or my attitude towards it at all, and it saddens me that I find myself in this position in the first place.

I don't know man, this is a tough one. If you had a top laner feeding like crazy and selling items and buying all kinds boots and then selling those and buying less items every time... like wouldn't you think that person is ruining your match? I mean, only 5 kills you were a part of in a 43 minute game? You did practically nothing and came across as a someone just fucking around, not really trying to win. I understand why you were punished, and I'm a little conflicted given the circumstance, but I think you are just going to have to bite the bullet on this one and make sure you pee before a game starts. It's like when your parents always made you pee before a long car trip so they didn't have to stop along the way a bunch of times. It's just common sense. On top of that, you went 1/17/4 ...like wow.

I got 14 days ban cause i let little annoying kid play on my accaunt. Apperently being bad also triggers a system to ban you. It doesnt matter that when i took over a game after my little bro left that i solo killed 3 enemy champions and ended up with better score then most of my teammates. It doesnt matter they were toxic to me, and that i had to mute them so my bro wouldnt see something like OMG fuking noob go kys you idiotic %%%got, why does my team always have braindead retards. TBH if that same team started playing 50% of the time they typed curses they would have won easily even 4v5 proven by the point that i was able to solokill 3 enemies even with 0 13 or something like that. On one hand riotters are assholes, but somewhat understandable they let out their frustration on players, just like players let out fristration on game.

Nah, it's Riot's glorious automated system.

It can't catch the REAL intentional feeders but it sure does catch players like this.

But no, go on, tell me about that "1-in-6000" error rate again.

Sorry this happened to you OP, having a bad game or being bad at the game is not punishable (at least that's always been Riot's policy up until now, maybe that's changed, too).

It does, it claims I was banned specifically for my Quinn game alone.

Just made a ticket, hopefully they give some sort of leniency towards my ban, in all honesty this is my first type of punishment and I dont believe that it represents me at all, like stated in the OP my game history reflects the fact that I take playing the game with some degree of seriousness. While the game was late at night and that is no excuse, I hope they take that factor into account.

They don't just ban for a low score. You probably had something in that chat log that indicated you were intentionally feeding at one point.

Can you please post a link to your match history of that game? The match history shows a map of where all your deaths occurred, and it provides some context.
