Compromised account

First things first this is a smurf account of mine.

My original account has been compromised at some point and I can't log in to appeal to anything on the forums.

Basically it's been about 2 months since I've played league of legends, due to working full time and a busy lifestyle ( 60+hr weeks )

During this time I had never checked up on my account because generally you assume your account is fine and there's no need to.

Anyway about two days ago I received an email saying my account has been banned, I messaged support to explain my situation and got a text book reply about terms of service, after that I basically got a reply saying "tough shit" the words were never said but the message was clear. This account is from season 2 and I've spent countless on it, it's my baby!

I can't recover it cause they won't help and on top of that its been banned, I'm reaching out here for some kind of additional support

This is a repost from Oce forums as I was redirected here, additionally this is not the only account of mine to be compromised as I found an email from origin saying there has been suspicious log ins and activity so the password has been reset.

I've lost access to my account and several others, it's also been banned and I'm completely stressing out! 😓

You're leaving out some crucial information in your original post that makes it hard for me to dig into this case~ if you wouldn't mind sharing the summoner name of the account in question as well as what exactly Support said to you about why it couldn't be recovered, I'd be able to directly help more!

Hey grrrrlee sorry about the slow reply! Just at work.

As for the account information I totally forgot to add that sorry again! The summoner name is Doobleleft.

As for the account, it's been banned and that will be why they wouldn't bother trying to recover, support basically told me that it's my fault and up to me to look after the security of my account so nothing will be done and it will remain banned..

I tried explaining that I've not had access to my account for at least 2 months now, 5th of June to be exact and that's the response I received, I also questioned how are we expected to check up on an account constantly when we think it's safe and especially if they do not have access to a PC?

I understand that you guys have rules and regulations but what does one do in an oddball case? When I tried to reach out for help and it felt like I was being undermined and not being taken seriously but that could be me reading it wrong cause i was also stressed out :s

With that being said, this isn't a support flame post, just a call for help and additional support, I'm sure they were just doing what they were supposed to.

Also it crossed my mind, if places like steam/origin and others detect unusual log ins, riot has systems to detect hate speech and toxic behaviour as well as 3rd party or malicious programs, is there no saftey system in check for suspicious log ins? or maybe like an authenticator system would be neat for the future seeing as there can be a lot of value in one account - just food for thought

Dug into this a bit and we saw some fishy behavior prior to the claims of being compromised, as the access patterns for that account showed nothing out of the ordinary at that time [ie, we believe original owner had control of the account]. I don't want to get into details here in a public forum and I stand behind the original decision based on what I saw...

I know it super sucks to have your long-time account banned, but we had legitimate cause to believe there was a breach of ToS on your part :[ Still, I am sorry, Sc00ba, and hope you can understand. I really did investigate and try to get your account back~

Hi grrrlee, just wanted to say thank you, while I will stand by my claim, my account has really been stolen and because of it banned..

What I'm most upset about is the time, the 4000+ games and the 200ish skins I've collected over the years I'll never get back and my pax sivir :(

Point is, prior to losing it, I wasn't getting in much game time anyway, maybe 1 -3 on the weekends and I was slowly getting terrible as the game changed and I wasn't keeping up, think it was about time to quit anyway.

So honestly thank you for your support and actually trying to do your best. :]

You're a gem. Thanks for your understanding. And sorry that our current systems are not and likely will never be absolutely perfect, but it is something we are aiming to improve all the time [whether ppl on these boards believe it or not, hah!].

Hopefully at least a little bit of faith was restored in Riot after this interaction though, even if I was otherwise useless and was unable to get your account back for ya ^^;;

Dude that sucks, I know how to feels to get hacked and honestly it is the worst feeling a gamer can feel.

I don't know a way to help you out other then these words, but good luck!

Thanks man I appreciate it! Yeah my biggest concern is when or where my information was leaked, I don't recall clicking any phishing links or downloading anything suspicious..

Yeah, there have been a lot. One time i clicked on a "Free Skin" link from a friend who was also hacked and then I got hacked. I log on every day though, so I managed to change my password. At this point send in a support ticket to NA, these guys are much nicer, and explain your situation. They will want to know things like first RP purchase and stuff. I hope you recover your account!

Seems odd you'd have two separate accounts compromised. Uhh. Maybe a friend found your password and screwed with you?

Same thing happened to me. I hadn't played any games since January 2016, but I got an email from Riot stating that my account had been banned for hacking. I logged into this site and a series of games had been played between 8/8-8/11. I had no idea that my account had been accessed, and now, I have lost the $60+ that I spent on skins and such. It really sucks.

I wish it were only $60 :( I've have the account for 4 years now possibly longer? Over time I think I accumulated up to nearly $2000 maybe more in purchases as well as my pax skins I've lost. I think I have roughly 190 skins maybe more, I counted a long time ago /:
