Trolling seems to be out of hand these days.
Hello everyone. This is my first post. I generally do not participate in forums of any kind. However, recently I have noticed a troubling trend in LoL, a game I love to play, and have played for many, many years. That is negative, unacceptable player behavior. I have played this game since roughly 2008 or 2009. Recently, I've noticed significantly more negative player behavior than in the past. I would estimate that at least 50% (and that is a conservative estimate, as it is probably a higher percentage in reality) of the games I participate in have at least one person who flames, gives up and AFK farms, intentionally feeds, or just goes completely AFK. It is getting to the point where I feel like I don't even want to waste my time. This is because when players do these things it completely ruins the entire game. It becomes a 4v5, or if the player is intentionally feeding or helping the other team it essentially becomes a 4v6 scenario.
I know I am only in Bronze, but even people in Bronze deserve a fair and fun game experience. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable in a social, team game and it, quite frankly, ruins the game. So, I guess my question is: have other people noticed an increase in these kind of negative behaviors recently? And why does Riot not do more to stop these people from doing this? I mean, if I was playing soccer and got mad at a teammate and just started kicking the ball off the field into the crowd I'd be removed from the game immediately. Why is it different because people are behind a keyboard? It shouldn't be. If these players don't want to play nicely, they shouldn't be able to play at all.
I appreciate any input that other people in the LoL community have on this topic.
Anyway, thank you for reading. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
