Silver 1 End of Season Ranked

As we all know, the end of the season is approaching. As I am in Silver 1, of course I am going to play ranked to try and get into Gold V.

The problem is that I only get matched with Gold and Platinum players, with the extremely rare Silver player. Why is this a problem? It's because they don't care whether they win or lose because the season is ending.

In the past hours of playing ranked, I have lost multiple times because my teammates simply did not care whether or not they won or lost, ending with surrender votes or people just afking. feeding, or trolling around. The chat is especially horrid. Riot, why can't I just be matched with Silver 1 players who will actually want to win in order to get to Gold V instead of playing with people who simply do not care.

If I had recorded these past games, my argument would be more valid, but I didn't. Maybe match history will tell somewhat of what I experience...

Edit: Yes I know and I'm sure almost all of you all know that being matched to people revolves around MMR. It's still a pain that I get matched up with people that don't care.

Edit 2: I check their individual ranks on op.gg and/or lolking.net.

Edit 3: After playing ranked (Solo Queue) for 6 hours, I personally believe that the ranked system is so flawed, it's appalling to even believe that some people are Gold/Plat. op.gg tells me their MMR is around the same as mine or even lower, but still higher rank than me... Riot, Just make the ranked system based on MMR, with ladder rankings corresponding to a certain MMR value...
