Hello, So I recently got 15 day suspension and well as much as I use words like Fck Sit and etc. etc. its not fair because there are worse players that dont use these words but they really do deserve some kind of punishment.
First off, I think you mean 14 day suspension. Second off, in order to get a 2-week ban you have to have either received 35-games worth of chat restrictions or behave so poorly that you got bumped up to an immediate 2-week ban instead. Third off, you aren't punished just for using foul language-you're punished for directing it at others. Fourth off, other people behaving worse doesn't excuse your own poor attitude. If you retaliate then you both get punished, it's as simple as that.
It is sad to see that one person says: Oh, hey report this guy.. and the rest of the players are like oh really good bro good i will. Change the punishing system because its beyond unfair and to begin with you need to combine some reasons for report and add punishments for breaking not just summoners code for which you ban players who say fuck or shit but basic League of Legends or MOBA rules or META or you can call it whatever u want.
People can report you for anything, but if you know that you're not doing anything wrong then you won't get punished, but they will for making a false report. Also, you aren't banned for breaking the meta with the intent to win and have fun, you're banned for breaking the meta with the intent to troll and be a jerk. This means that as long as you're not intentionally going out of your way to troll and be a jerk then you can't be punished solely for picking an off-meta pick.
Add something like a test after which u will be able to play norms and not bots if u pass obviously and not just 1 downloads the game 2 logs in 3 plays bots 4 has no idea what the fuck is going on 5 loses vs bots 6 plays norms 7 loses 8 plays norms again loses feeds gets cursed at.
These systems already exists: they're called MMR and Matchmaking. Also, we were all new once, so there's no reason to harass someone just because they're playing poorly that game.
9 time for a report 10 still has no idea what the fuck is going on... and all this is because lol community and all the norm players well most of them just dont end up with these guys to teach them what to do. so they end up with tier 1 players who know how to play but arent good so they just flame at a beginner. and no tribunal is not good cuz computer cant tell whats been going on all game.
9 reports hold the same amount of weight as 1 report does. Also, how are people going to improve if all we do is rage and flame at them the moment that they make a mistake? As for the Tribunal, that's been down for a couple of years now. The automated behavior systems are the ones that are handing out the punishments now, with Riot stepping in when need be.
basically someone can harass you like this
ill blablabla ur mom.
and the typa person i am i would just reply straight up what im thinking. now lets see, he started it and i replied and i used word fck and all tribunal sees is FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK... and 30 games restriction for FUCK next time u say FUCK u get suspended for 15 days then its a perma ban.. its just unfair with the money ur making at least do something with to make the game nice and enjoyable again... or maybe ur doing it because there are more as*holes int he world than nice people?
What other people say and do don't matter. When reviewing a case judges are instructed to only focus on the defendant, because they are the only one that is being reviewed at that point in time. Also, like I said earlier you aren't banned for using foul language in general, but you are when you direct it towards others in a negative fashion. From the Tribunal FAQ:
What's the point of having a language filter if I can get banned for 'adult' language?
We aren't out to punish players who use adult language; in fact, very few players are ever banned for saying stuff like "f***, I missed that skill shot" or "damn, fing close game!" However, the language filter is not an excuse to verbally abuse someone in the game. When you verbally abuse or harass someone by calling them "fing *****" or "ngger noob", that's when you've crossed the line and will be punished by the Tribunal. I've said this before and I'll say it again, we aren't trying to clean online games of adult language; we're trying to reform or get rid of jerks who like to verbally abuse and harass other players.
Why is verbal abuse punishable if there is a mute button/language filter?
Players shouldn’t need to rely on features like the mute button or language filter to engage with other players in positive ways. When a player verbally abuses another player and forces him to use the mute button, they have already created a negative experience for that player.
You're not helping make the game or the community better if you rage and flame at people the moment that things don't go your way. Now if you want to discuss your ban then post your reform card here (check your email/spam folder and the game client for it: the email contains just 1 game while the game client contains up to 3 games).
