Perm Banned Without a Reason Provided. I've never been Muted/Banned. Reported Once Ever

This is basically every thread thats already been posted under Player Behavior, and I'm sure that I'll likely be seen in the same light about my plight. But here's what I have to say.

Sometime during 2016 my account was compromised. I used a pretty expansive password and committed to changing my passwords every 90 days to something unique. I was unaware of this until about 5 months ago when I was able to get assistance from customer support to have my account recovered, wherein I was able to log in. My name had been changed, and the friends list wiped and replaced with some rather toxic types. Customer Support once again helped out and changed my account name back to what it previously was before the theft. Thanks to them on that!

Over the last 5 months, I've played maybe a total of 30-50 games. Not an incredible amount of overall, but I spend a lot of time at work and I've suddenly gotten interested in Overwatch. After experiencing the expansive sea of Salt that OW Competitive has I decided to take a break and return to League and try out Xayah ( Who is pretty cool IMO )

Three nights ago I received an email stating the following:

> Greetings #######, > > Actions that have been performed on your account are in violation of the League of Legends Terms of Use. You can review these terms at http://www.leagueoflegends.com/legal/termsofuse > > Due to the severity of this violation, your League of Legends account has been banned until Fri Jan 01 00:00:00 UTC 2100 > > If you have any questions, contact our Player Support team at https://support.leagueoflegends.com/home > > Riot Games Player Support

I've been playing since Leona was released. I was eligible for all RIot gifts that were provided, and I've never experienced a disciplinary action that I can remember. I've sent in a support ticket that has now been bounced out of the Player Support department into the Accounts Department, But it seems like they think my account is needing recovered again. I just want to be able to log on and play, but this situation is kind of impossible to believe. Is it common for a ban to happen like this without any detail given into what exactly the offender did wrong? Or is this a case of mistaken identity?

tl;dr: Banned, Not sure for what reason. Ticket is getting bounced around and I think Support is confused about whats wrong and has gotten nowhere in 3 days.

The year 2100 means someone tried to get into your account (by requesting It from support page I believe)

Your account isn't really banned, it's locked for security reasons, You have to contact support to get it unlocked.

In the case of potential account compromise, Riot does have a policy of locking the accounts when it is detected for the protection of the account's owner. But while it would come with a pop-up alert saying that the account was suspended, it does not usually come with an email stating that there were actions which violated the ToS. The pop-ups are generally there to encourage the account owners to contact support ASAP to provide details confirming that they are the account owner (lots of little details that only the owner would know, like first champions, IP addresses, locations, etc) and it is not the same as a typical account suspension.

When you try to log into the League client, what message appears? Does it have a Reform Card? That would at least let us know if someone had used your account to either be extremely toxic, or to intentionally feed. Hopefully it will be something easily resolved, where if it was compromised, the person did not actually do anything bad on your account. Best of luck with Support, and while I know it must be very confusing and frustrating, try to be patient with them. They are there to help you, and it will make the entire process smoother if you can do your best to not take your frustration out on them.

there have been a lot of random perma bans going out caused by an error in riots banning system so that's what most likely happened to you. you should be able to get your account back soon so I wouldn't worry about it that much(tf2>ow)

UTC 2100 i believe means account security is compromised for some reason. Did u let someone play on your account?

Most likely, whoever stole the account played on it using scripts. That, or Riot might have reason to think the account may have been compromised again (they will pre-emptively lock accounts with suspicious activity and contact the owner asking them to talk to support).

So, as they said in the notice you received, contact support and talk to them about it. They're the only ones that can help you with this. It'll probably help if you have ticket numbers from the account recovery stuff you did, and cite those in the ticket.

Just so you know, this does sound different than the random toxic player screaming for help "I wasn't toxic, why would those rito idjits ban my behavior? They were toxic, not me." #validation
