I feel like the board is so toxic

https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/player-behavior-moderation/m4geAK5V-updated-player-behavior-guidelines The board rules state that these kinds of posts are subjected to deletion by the mods. But from what I see, they can get upvotes and get away with it as long as people hound on the "banned" person. Seems like a double standard. Shouldn't Mods say something about these rules?

I don't know why people stoop as low as the "unban me" people. Can't they just ignore these people or just straight up logically tell them?

Edit: Periscope cofirmed that it isn't in effect. --> So technically you can get away with it until it is in effect.

No not yet.

The mods have always shown bias and double standards in Player Behavior, this is nothing new.

That entire thread about "updating player behavior guidelines" is simply stating policies the mods will selectively enforce, and just ignore post that blatantly violate those policies because of the context.

They remove certain posts and ignore other post that are the equivalent just because they favor the context.

You're allowed to be disrespecful to punished posters, that's simply how it is

Oh neat, I made it on some random person's collage.

There are lines, and sometimes those lines get crossed. Report if you feel a comment crossed a line.

Yes, I have seen some of the comments that should probably be removed that are more taunting to the punished player. I also come across some posts that debatably don't need to exist either; on both "sides". Context makes a difference and the mods can't always know what we meant.

Example: Someone called me a smartass before and this was my response.

I rather be a smartass than a dumbass.

It was removed because they read it as me calling the person a dumbass.

Personally, it depends on my day. There are times I'm super passive aggressive and I get that it's a reflect of my current mood. Sometimes it depends on how much the other person is in denial as well. They maybe not understanding the explainations or have selective reading. But I guess people will interpret things as how they want.

Sometimes I just end up deleting the post. Other times i let it loose.

"But from what I see, they can get upvotes and get away with it as long as people hound on the "banned" person."

Yeah...I made a post calling CT a 7 year old temper tantrum kid and got like 30 upvotes, and got a 3 day ban.

And I made a comment calling CT an idiot and deserves to be fired for his toxic philosophy and got perma banned and also got upvoted to the heavens.

So this more or less confirms that no matter how many upvotes you get, regardless if true or not, regardless how many agree, the mods will more or less act like shining armor. Even to those who don't deserve to shiny armored.

Ah well. [zombie-brand-clap]

I did look into your post and have done a few removals, including from this thread, as we don't allow naming and shaming of other players, even fellow boards users. You can either report other problematic posts using the little button to the bottom right, or come to us on the NA Boards Discord.

I hadn't yet removed one comment, because I think it's strange we're looking at that one comment and not discussing the OP, which called Rioters "bitch" or just in general, the company, a "bitch." As well as telling the company to "Grow up." I will run the comment by other moderators, to get their opinions, as comments like "good riddance" don't align well with some of the goals of the punishment system nor the Player Behavior Board.

As for anything regarding bias, we're always open to criticism, but do keep in mind two things: (1) we are a volunteer team, so we don't have time to get to every comment, (2) I try to hit the worst stuff on the boards. When you're upset about bias, keep in mind the much worse things are hopefully not currently on the boards, although that sentence sure as hell is going to Jinx it.

Yea, that's just how it is unfortunately, there are always couple of regular Boards users on PB who're doing this, and the fact mods are letting it slip by is disgusting. Either do your job properly or don't do it at all and let it to some1 who will.

Idk... its weird to me. Ive had several bans from the boards, up to a week at a time. A lot of them are from me being a little too insulting towards a banned player. Sometimes i get away with it, sometimes I am surprised I got banned, sometimes its perfectly reasonable that they suspend me lol. I think getting reported matters a lot, of course. But I mean, I've gotten banned for mere hypotheticals before, but I guess it was taken as a direct insult. Meh. Its a bit unpredictable. (Mind you I dont judge you based on whether you got banned, I judge based on the logic and language they use in their post)
