14-Day ban on November 9th, still eligible for ranked rewards?

First of all I apologize if this is in the wrong section, I have never used boards before, and I looked at the rules and it seems like this is the right section, but I could be wrong. Secondly, I apologize if something like this has already been posted and addressed. I tried to look for it, but couldn't quite understand if the answers provided applied in this particular case.

Anyways, on to my question. So basically, this doesn't actually apply to me, it applies to my friend. The season ended on November 8th, however ***ranked rewards weren't handed out yet. My friend got a 14 day ban on November 9th because someone was provoking them in game and they decided to respond back, despite me advising them to simply ignore and mute. So my question is, will my friend be ineligible to receive ranked rewards now? Because I know that to receive rewards , you couldn't have received a punishment after August 1st, but I wasn't sure if receiving punishments after the season ending, but before rewards being handed out counted towards this as well.
