PERMABANNED for no reason - Chat log included

So today I Q'd a game after work as support . I find a game fast, support usually does, and I elect to ban Zed. Little do I know our mid, who is last pick, wants to play Zed. He gets angry and bans my support in retaliation. Before the game I tell him he didn't have to do that and as last pick he probably wouldn't have gotten Zed anyway.

On to the game.

So the game starts and everyone is still in a peeve about what happened at champ select. Mid and Jungle are refusing to gank bottom lane. We start losing and getting behind, in all lanes and in the jungle. Bottom lane really starts getting crushed as it snowballs out of control. Eventually all the lanes and jungle have snowballed to a game where we're getting crushed every team fight. It ended with them having something like 42 kills and us having 21. People start blaming each other and name calling basically devolving into the kind of imbalanced stuff you see at lot at this elo. I'm in silver and know I'm not a great player and I'm ok with that. Long story short after getting beat up in lane and ganked several times the ADC and I end up with like 10 deaths each. The angry mid player starts talking about how he's going to report us for feeding, which we were not intentionally doing, we were just losing and getting out played.

So, the game ends and I report the people who are swearing and calling names putting people down. For complete transparency I've been this person before and served my previous punishments and stopped this behavior due to the penalties I received. I began reporting people seeing how actively Riot IS trying to stop toxic players. Unfortunately since the mid had friends in the game I believe a couple people reported me and I instantly got permabanned, which I do not believe I deserved at all. I believe I deserved my other penalties and never posted b/c I had earned them, such as my 14 day ban.

I did not deserve to have my account which as been active since 2009 banned permanently for this bad game with other angry players.

Riot needs to differentiate between people being toxic and passive-aggressive:

Toxic: Go kill yourself you fucking %%%% die loser you suck your mom die blah blah

Passive agro: This game is bronze. Why am I playing with a bunch of bronze people get me out of this game

The first sentence deserves a 2-week ban instantly while the second sentence doesn't even deserve to get a 2-week ban.

I think passive aggressive people deserve chat restrictions but toxic assholes should just get 2-week bans followed by a permaban if their behaviour continues.

This is just my opinion don't kill me!

I think the point is that repeatedly acting negative threw many games give a bad experience to others in those games. When players see this and don't see any punishment then they start to think it is also alright to do the same.

We all know that negative comments usually induce others to start complaining also. So, we should slow down negative comments and start playing kindly to others.

Now when the system starts to implement punishments players new and old feel kinda cheated because the system is more effective. But the end result should eventually teach players what Riot and the majority of the player base want out of the game.

It's a game, no one plays it to feel bad about playing. Everyone who is a excellent player now was once a newbies.

Now onto punishment system, you can and will get punished for negative behavior. When you do you get a reform card that tells you basically that what you got punished for is unacceptable. At this point that player has to change.

It will help your punished account if you are actively positive. Your standing will improve quicker this way. If you only try not to be toxic and nothing more it moves more slowly. This is why we as board posters can only point things out, why no one is sure why each punishment is different.

Don't give fuel to the troll/toxic ass, it never helps. We all at times have wanted to but in the end it is going to cost those who reply to them in the same fashion.

If you are being negative a lot, if you have been given another chance ( punishment) then it is your fault alone when you get a permanent ban. Don't fall into the trap of you have a right to be toxic back, No One does.

The game rules are very clear! Retaliation is not okay!

Wouldn't that have been infinitely easier than allowing a fight to last through champ select and on into the game? With an account on its final warning after a 14-day ban, it's deeply unfortunate that you chose to get into a random fight like this, when de-escalating the situation would have been so incredibly easy.

This is considered toxic? Jesus my 5 year old brother has said worse. No but seriously I kinda agree with JOoO but at the same time I have seen people act like this in many other games and generally they don't take your apology seriously they think its sarcasm and it goes the same way. It cant hurt to try though. I do hope you get your ban repealed because I don't see a thing wrong with this. Honestly this is making me kinda scared to use the chat. Like I don't swear at my teammates never have but I don't want to get a ban because I say fuck after I get killed and someone thinks I am being toxic.

First off I want to tell you something even if you don't believe me, I post on here because I care about all people. I'm not judging you, I want you to understand that. I do understand how frustrating this game ( life in general ) can be and is.

Try to understand that when I say such things like negativity spreads from player to player I am not saying You, or most people, try to do it on purpose. Some players Do such things, I know for fact because I often talk to players off the boards. Okay, so we are clear I leave somethings vague.

So you tried hard to reform, thought you did, lost your temper in game and got a permanent suspension, right? People lose it in this game and sometimes are provoked, by both words and actions again I get it. I don't condone it, but I understand.

Thing is since you brought up jaywalking, I'll use that for an example. If you were on probation from a Court ( you sort of where Riot being the probation officer) then you could expect that if you broke the laws ( riot's TOS ) then probation is over and you have to serve the whole term ( permanent suspension ).

Does this suck for you Yes of course it does, but no matter how sorry you are about it now You were warned, even if you didn't read it, know it or understand it. Again because you mentioned it, ignorance of the law is No excuse. Anyone could come here say this and get away with certain things, they would certainly try.

Still doesn't do anything for the random player that has to deal with shit and their only recourse is stfu and report after game. As you should have done. When you are punished Riot says you have to be neutral to positive in X amount of games. That again depends on that players personal history.

I hope I have enlighten at the very lest future players. That is my hope. Yours I guess is to start a new account or send in a ticket to support and try to make them understand and unban you.

One last piece of advice, when dealing with Riot be nice about it. If you do try sending in a ticket be precise, be brief yet tell all relevant points you have and don't bump the ticket. You could hope a rioter comes on but don't hold your breath for that.:).

Same exact thing just happened to me after 5 years. Did riot change their bot banning algorithm? This is insane!

I'm also unable to contact Riot about this as they say, "While Riot strives to improve their Player Behavior system, unfortunately no system is perfect. If you strongly feel that your suspension was made in error, please contact the Player Support team by submitting a ticket."

But when I try to "submit a ticket" I get an error stating, "You must be logged in before you can submit this type of ticket." If I am not logged in then how am I here posting this? No matter what I do to attempt to log in and submit a ticket I am unable to.
